That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day. People get insulted online all the time. This person is obviously trying to scare you with "big" words. Now, if you threatened this person in any way, that could get you in trouble. Or if you repeatedly harassed this person after you were told multiple times to stop, that could get you in trouble. Calling one person an idiot one time isn't nearly as catastrophic as the fact that a 38-year-old is having an online argument with a teenager. Oi...

Malicious contact? If they are saying stuff like that you could probably prove in a court of law that they are indeed an idiot. Which is exactly what the authorities would call them if they tried to file charges.
