Should I major in Computer Animation or Art Education? =(?
Ok. Currently my major now is Computer Animation. I want to teach art just as much as I want to do animation. The problem is that I am worried about job security with computer animation. And it really wouldn't bother me much to switch my major considering you don't need a degree to do animation anyway. Maybe I would try and learn it on my own. I also know that art teaching jobs are hard to find as well but I live in texas and I would be certified to teach EC through 12th grade so it wouldn't be that hard to find right? And I know once I have the job, I don't have to worry about job security.
Which one do you think I should probably major in? I also plan on getting my masters strait away. In Art Education if I keep my major computer animation, or in art history, if I switch my undergraduate to art education.
thank you!

I have family members who are teachers and I will say it right now. Job security isn't the best. However, your odds of finding a job as a teacher are definitely much greater than an animator. I'd get a Bachelor's in Art and just take the appropriate steps to become a certified teacher. Most schools will help you with this. Like if I get a History degree and I want to become a high school History teacher, the school will help me be qualified.
Or I'd get a Bachelor's in Elementary/Secondary Education and minor in Art. So you'll definitely be covered and you'll still be learning what you love!

I do believe various the solutions because of fact some faculties that have image layout classes are not the excellent yet i might say look into distinctiveness faculties because of fact they might have the excellent classes in image layout. additionally think of roughly what you desire to do with your image layout degree when you graduate and discover a school that makes a speciality of that express area of your profession. the form Institute of layout & promotion has a great image layout software and that they're a distinctiveness college it extremely is cool. people who graduate with a level in image layout could have careers as a image dressmaker, internet dressmaker, artwork director or imaginitive director. they actually have a digital media software which has to do with 3-D characters for video clips, television exhibits or perhaps video games that are all great careers to get into. the two classes are great and that i've got heard no longer something yet good issues from my friends who graduated from FIDM. check out the college's website and notice in case you like those majors :) reliable success!
