Oh it's real let me tell you. One look and bam you're in love, sometimes without even realizing it.It happens despite of you. It usually happens the first time you fall in love though, after you have some experience with the other sex it's kind of hard to happen.

No, but you can fall in love with a person's looks at first sight. That's only the packaging though isn't it and you can't judge a book by its cover. To fall in love with the whole person takes more than the first glimpse!

Anyway 'love at first sight' is not something to believe in - it's just a concept to evaluate and analyze before concluding that it's not possible, for the reasons other answerers have already mentioned.

Love needs time to fester and develop. In the beginning, there isnt love, there is like. Absolutely, there is attraction at first sight. Love, no, but from the initial attraction, love can most certainly blossom.

Sometimes, when someone sees someone else for the first time, they cannot stop thinking about them, and they confuse it for love. This is not love, but it is infatuation, and often curiosity.

no , but it happened to me =) . I seen my now bf at the bus stop and i thought how cute he was and how I could see myself with him. and then some guy who was like 30 yrs older than me tried to hit on me and he eventually walked away and then I seen my bf laugh and so did I we sparked a conversation and we been together ever since 3 yrs . I don't know if that would define love at first sight but I am sure you can't fall completely head over heels with a complete stranger, unless something bring you together like a situation like mines.

Realistically, Love at first sight only happens in Fairy Tales; I used to believe in it.

When I became more involved in dating, I realized it takes more than one glance at somebody to truly love them, it takes emotional/physical commitment, trust, honesty, and compromise. Although; relationships can begin with a simple glance, and develop into more serious relationships, they can deteriorate just as easily.

No i really don't. That's basically saying that you love someone because you think they're attractive. Think of Romeo and Juliet...they only fell in love because they saw each other and *OH MY GOSH* they miraculously fell in love...yeah...love at first sight doesn't exist.

No, I think you can be attracted to someone and want to get to know them and maybe picture yourself being with that person, but it is not love. Love happens when you know that person and have real true feelings for and don't want to be with no one else.So basically you fall in love with a person through getting to know them.
