Cub Cadet weed eater problem?

I have a Cub Cadet 4 stoke weed eater. I just bought it today and after putting in new gas it ran fine. But then when I would squeeze the throttle the engine would die and now the engine dies out after running only a few seconds?

The easy answer to this it to return it. The harder answer is the carburetor is either out of adjustment or has some foreign material in it. I would be careful about what I did to it for warranty purposes.

Either gunk in the old fuel residue in the lines, a spark plug on its way out, or cracks/leaks in the fuel lines.
