I'm writing a paper about nihilism, and it's kind of confusing me so far. I'm trying to find a quote to add in, and by reading about it I thought the song Skin & Bones by Motion City Soundtrack kind of reminds me of nihilism. Here is the chunk I was going to pick from to add in the paper, does it sound like it would sound good? Which line? Orrrr am I missing the point of nihilism completely? If so can anybody help me find a different quote? Thanks!

"All purely moral demands without their religious basis must needs end in nihilism." Moral systems created by man without reference to God are actually unconscious regressions to religious morality. With the demise of faith, furthermore, not only morality but the universe of meanings begins to collapse, and since man cannot live without meaning, he tries to resurrect meaning under different headings.

I don't believe in nihilism, I have my reasons. But, I'd say that part of the song puts it in perspective and sums it up, it also depends on which context you want to present your paper in. I know your writing about nihilism but from what point of view? [as a nihilist yourself, or as a person trying to understand nihilism]?

Well really what would be a good quote about nihilism?  I hate the notion. But as it stands your song does in fact echo nihilism.
