I found this crochet stitch I want to use, but the instructions for the first row are to 3 double crochet in 4th chain from hook. What exactly does this mean? The picture by the instructions isn't helpful at all... Do I skip the first 3 stitches and do 3 double crochets into the fourth? When I tried that, it looked funny... Orrrr do I skip the first stitch and double crochet up to the 4th? Gahh if anybody could explain this to me, that would be great :-) Thanks!

I have to write this story/memory/whatever for class, and I'm writing mine about the time my cousin hit me in the face with a croquet mallet and broke my glasses, which cut my forehead and I had to get stitches. Can anyone please help me think of a title for it? I want something witty or cute... Sorry it's not much information to go off of, but any help would be awesome!

Alright, so on Facebook I play a few of those stupid games, and now people have started posting stuff for it all over my wall :-/ Such as, if they visit my Cafe and find something, they have the option to post to my wall to let me know. And it's super annoying. My entire wall gets clogged up with these stupid notifications and it's annoying having to delete them all. Does anyone know how I can disable these posts, without disabling the game, and without just asking the people to stop? I don't want to be rude.. Thanks so much for any help :-)

I had to write a paper analyzing a song. Well, I got it back and apparently after you write out any line that's in the song, you need to cite it? How do you do that? The song is "Play Crack the Sky" by Brand New. So this would be my paragraph: There are a lot of examples of simile, blah blah "song line goes here" (WHAT GOES HERE?). Do I put in the song name, or the artist name? Ugh, I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

I'm writing a paper about nihilism, and it's kind of confusing me so far. I'm trying to find a quote to add in, and by reading about it I thought the song Skin & Bones by Motion City Soundtrack kind of reminds me of nihilism. Here is the chunk I was going to pick from to add in the paper, does it sound like it would sound good? Which line? Orrrr am I missing the point of nihilism completely? Sorry this is so long, but please give me your advice?

A few months ago I started 'talking' to this guy, and we recently finally started hanging out. Sometimes I got the feeling he likes me, and other times it's like we're just friends, and he never made a move or anything. Well, I finally asked him if he likes me or not, and he says yes, but he's indecisive and doesn't want to hurt me. The next night we hung out, and he told me about how he has this ex-girlfriend who just moved back into town, and he's not sure what's going to happen with her. SO, that's why he never tried anything, because if we start getting closer than it's going to hurt me even more if he's not available, and he doesn't want to "put me on hold" because obviously they're just going to break up again like the first time. The very next day, he called me and said that we couldn't hang out anymore, and it's an "ex thing" so there's not really anything I can do.

Now, he even told me they're a terrible couple but whatever, so I'm not sure how long it's going to last this time around. I've been single for about 2 years and this is the first time I've liked somebody again, so it hurts even more. Does it seem like I have reason to be mad at him? When he was telling me about all this, I just kind of said ok, that's fine... But now I feel like complete crap. What should I do if, a month or two down the road, he wants to date me? I don't want him to think I'm that pathetic...

I've had him for 6 years, and I know that putting him out of his misery is for the best, but every time I think about it I start crying really hard and I don't know how to deal with it. My parents are taking him to the vet today while I'm at work, and since he hasn't been eating or drinking for the past 2 days I'm pretty sure it's going to happen. I feel ridiculous because I'm almost 22 and I know I shouldn't be getting this upset about it, but I don't know what to do and I don't want to start crying while I'm at work. I've never had any other pets though, so I guess that's why I'm so overly upset. Can anybody help make me feel a little better? It just breaks my heart when I look at him because he looks so miserable and he doesn't even know what's happening... Thank you for any advice, and I'm sorry I know this sounds a bit silly but I don't know what else to do.

I'm trying to find rum to make a cake, and I've read that it's better to use dark rather than gold. I only need a cup so I asked the guy at a convenience store if they had any small ones, and he showed me the gold. And I'm like oh no, I needed the dark rum. And he looked at me and was like ... this IS dark. And I'm like, no, that's gold..... And he held it next to the clear rum and said SEE, this one is DARK. And I'm just like ......... wtf, no.

So anyways, my question is, is gold rum the same as dark rum? Because I've seen dark rum in the big bottles and it definitely looks different..

My friend is turning 21 soon, and I want to make her a rum cake. I made one before, but it wasn't very good...Does anybody have a really good recipe?

I'm looking for an html code that allows one color on the entire page to be transparent, I had one a long time ago but can't find it again :-/ It's like if you have a picture of a circle, you would make the rest of the picture neon green [since it has to be a square when uploaded] and then put in the little code and use neon green as the color, then on the page you can't see the green border, just the circle. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Or any code that would allow me to turn part of the picture transparent without using any special programs.. Thanks!

A week ago I got a tattoo on my foot, and my foot kept twitching! I have no idea why, and I couldn't even control it. Now it's almost healed, and it looks kind of awful. The colors look really washed out, and on the wing it's all blurred and looks like a mess. I can live with the crooked lines, but the rest of it is really bothering me! Does it look really bad to you, or am I just paranoid? [Im not fishing for compliments, I promise! I really want to know what you think].

If I go back to have it touched up, I just know my foot's going to twitch like crazy again. Any ideas how to stop this?

I got a tattoo two days ago and in one part the color isn't blended very well, it's just light purple and then BAM dark purple, and there's a little smudge where it should be a solid line [my foot wouldn't stop twitching! eh]. The guy who did it said I get free touch ups if needed for 6 weeks [or maybe months, idr]. Do I have to wait until it's healed until I can get it fixed, or can I do it now? [I don't really want to call and ask because I get all anxious and nervous calling people..] Thanks!

I got a tattoo on my foot last night, and I have to work today. I'm required to wear socks and shoes, but I don't want it to completely ruin it already. Any ideas how to help protect it while working for 8 hours? Should I put a paper towel over it and tape it down [like he did right after it was finished], or wrap cling wrap around it or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :-]

My hair is a little past my shoulders, and it has a few layers in it, with side bangs. I always straighten it, and lately I've noticed it just looks gross. It looks oily/greasy, whether I wash it every day or every few days. It sticks flat to my head on the top and poofs out at the bottom. And my bangs don't look right, instead of staying together swept to the side they get greasy looking and separate and half hangs in my eyes. Eww :-[ They used to sit fine, but for some reason they don't any more. Can anybody suggest anything to help? I'm getting my hair cut later today, I was just going to get it trimmed but any suggestions that might help?

I'll be at work, so nothing too dramatic. I'm pretty pale, but I don't want to wear a neon green tacky color, lol. I don't want to go out and buy anything else either, any ideas how to make this work? I have blue eyes, if that matters.
