why do people not believe in what psychics can do even when they help solve crimes?

Psychics have never really helped to solve a crime. The most famous of these, the one that the TV show is based on, outright lied on her website when she claimed to solve so many crimes. A journalist researched her claims and got laughed out of all the police departments she claimed to consult for. She's a liar.

Sometimes the police have consulted a psychic out of desperation, but their revelations are always very vague. For instance, they say the body will be found near a body of water, but how far away is near versus far? What consitutues a body of water. In most places in this country, you can be considered near a body of water no matter where you are. It's like that--it only seems to make sense if you already believe that nonsense.

The idea that police departments or any law enforcement agencies is pretty much a combination of urban myth and literary construct.

The fact is that there are a total of zero police departments that use psychics or people that claim to have para normal powers. Especially in the United States procedure and method of collecting evidence is as important as what your findings are. You never could get a search warrant based on someone that claimed to be a psychic.

You cannot even name a single psychic that is in the public eye that has not been exposed as a fraud.

Because if any psychics actually had any such powers it would've been tested or studied by now. That website is either a joke, or full of crackpots. Why don't these psychics actually document their gifts, or allow them to be studied?

If there was any real evidence that even ONE person could actually do anything given on that page, then people would know about it and believe it.

Because it's not the norm. It's easy to rationalize it away as "mere coincidence" or "they got lucky".

If I had such powers, I wouldn't be turned into a circus by a stage magician like Randi James. You might as well paint your face and do a jig, because that's all the man is about anyway. lol

There ya go. It even lists some of the skeptics concerning it. But it's plain as the nose on your face - they do use them

Here's the real test: if Victor Zammit has real psychic powers, he could take the Randi Million Dollar Challenge. If someone proves that they have supernatural abilities, Dr. Randi will pay them $1 million bucks. NO ONE HAS TAKEN THE CHALLENGE YET. Why not?

You need to realize that when they do bring in a psychic, it is out of SHEER DESPERATION because the case is going no where...

And in the few cases where they have assisted in the solution of a crime, it hasnt been due to any supernatural powers.

Now, need I remind you of the many FRAUDS out there, like Sylvia Brown, who told parents of a dead child that the kid was still alive, when in reality he was already dead??? Some trick that was!

Why do people not believe in psychics? Because it's a sin to practice or have anything to do with witchcraft, according to the Bible.

Also, they don't work.

Psychics do not have superpowers, they just have supreme powers of generalization and incredible intuition.

If psychics can tell the future why do they not win the lottery.
