A) 2y = 3x + 4...............divide both sides by 2
y = ((3/2) * x) + 2..............this line has a slope of (3/2)
-2y = -5 - 3x.................Multiply both sides by (-1/2)
y = ((3/2) * x) + 5................this line has a slope of (3/2)
However the constants are different, that is 2 is not equal to 5.
Two lines with the same slope and different constants are:
Parallel <---------------- Answer to (A)
----------
(B) -4x - 5y = -3.................Multiply both sides by -3
12x + 15y = 9
That's exactly the same as the second equation. Hence these two lines are:
The Same <--------------- Answer to (B)
