Can I See RealD 3d on a computer screen?

I went to see some 3d movies recently and taken the glasses just in case i could use them again. My question is can i see 3d movies and or images with these glasses on my computer? It would be nice if me and some friends could watch them in college during movie night and also it would be awsome to see 3d movies when ever i wanted. Im not sure if the theater as anything special to make the movie 3d and the redgreen glasses are crap anyway. If there are any torrents or images out there i would like to know. Thanks in advance.

AT the theater a 3d movie has a 2d movie for the right eye and a 2d movie for the left eye projected onto the screen at the same time. Then the right eye movie has one polarized light wave and the left eye movie a different polarized light wave and the glasses only let the light wave through for that eye. Your monitor must be made to put out 2 different light waves, otherwise it is just putting out random light waves with no specific polarization.

actually yes, you can. Usually the movie theater uses a technique called polarization, which requires a special projector. That format is usually converted to a stereoscopic view, then to an anaglyph, to be sold as a DVD or Blu Ray. This can be used on any home theater setup.

The bare stereoscopic view is very practical for viewing in public areas with a mobile device. You do not need 3D glasses, but you do need to cross your eyes so that the two frames overlap to create the 3D illusion.
