Question for christians...or anyone, really. Just curious.?

I have seen many questions regarding the incestuous nature of humanity (all starting from Adam and Eve if you're a christian) and how because it was a "pure bloodline" as people often put it, it was okay. Well, I guess my question is this: If Noah and his family were the only survivors of the "great flood" wouldn't that mean we had to have been repopulated by a single family yet again? But this time the bloodline could no longer be "pure" since so much time passed from the time of Adam and Eve. So, if this story were true, why aren't we horribly deformed at this point? Everyone would have descended from Noah and his family, according to christian text and belief, right?

I guess this is one more issue I have with the validity of christianity and the bible. It's highly illogical, right?

This is the first question I've ever asked on here, so I'm interested to see the replies. Thanks ahead of time. (^_^)

Update:

*Cat_Love: I do, that's why I'm curious. It still only left a small family of about 8 people to repopulate, right? That would still warrant deformity eventually. It's still cousins marrying cousins over and over again. I guess I just wonder why 8 people repopulating the earth is logical. Thank you for your submission.

Update 2:

*Problem JPAS ART -

So cousins marrying cousins isn't incest to you? It's still within the family.

Update 3:

* Mighty -

Good point. I figured at the time of Noah they were all first cousins and it would start a bad chain reaction. Good point though. Thanks!

There is no proven "deformity"or any other birth defects associated with cousins marrying cousins and though it is forbidden in the US by social reasons, many cultures still practice it and the bible never did forbid it. Cousins can be so many generations down the line that they share very little common DNA with you, so you could possibly marry a 3rd 4th or 5th cousin today without even knowing it.

Pretty well. Old. But well. About the brand new head of the insand asylum running by way of the constructing sees a man swinging an imaginary baseball bat. Guy says he is Barry Bonds and as quickly as he hits this dwelling run they are going to permit him out. In the following room is a man swinging an imaginary golfing membership who says he's Tiger Woods and as quickly as he hits this gap-in-one they are going to permit him out. In the 3rd room is a stark bare man humping a jar of peanut butter who says he's f*cking nuts and they are by no means going to permit him out.

Genesis 6:9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Blameless, or perfect, does NOT refer to condition, appearance, or aesthetics, as believers of 'the Nephilim are offspring of fallen angels and women' false doctrine teach.

Rather, it refers to moral completion. NOAH WALKED WITH GOD. That means He had a relationship with Him and He knew God.

"Noah was a righteous man" confirms my point. :)

This is the truth regarding the Nephilim:

God created Adam as a giant. Noah was a giant. His sons were giants.

How do you think there were giants still on the earth after the Flood?

    Canaan! Noah's son, Ham.

Genesis 9:18 Now the sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth; and Ham was the father of Canaan.

Why is it important to mention that Ham was the father of Canaan?

Genesis 9:19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.

There is no way the Nephilim could survive the Flood. In fact, there is no way they could have lived if they were the offspring of fallen angels and women, since the breath of God was not in them (Genesis 7:22).

Numbers 13:2 "Send out for yourself men so that they may spy out the land of Canaan, which I am going to give to the sons of Israel; you shall send a man from each of their fathers' tribes, every one a leader among them."

Numbers 13:33 "There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

The Nephilim were in Canaan! What are they doing there?

Even John Calvin was opposed to this false doctrine:

That ancient figment, concerning the intercourse of angels with women, is abundantly refuted by its own absurdity; and it is surprising that learned men should formerly have been fascinated by ravings so gross and prodigious.

The sons of God are the sons of Seth. They intermarried with the sons of Cain, who were normal sized like us.

Source(s): Ravings of a deranged person, possibly. But I'm trying to talk some sense as well: http://www.biblelandstudios.com/nuke/modules.php?n... If there were giant animals and dinosaurs on the earth, why couldn't there be giant humans?

yes, the Bible is highly illogical. Just take the 10 commandments (thou shallt not steal/kill etc) and then look at how many wars and horrible butcherings are recorded, all in the name of faith?

I hope you realize that Noah's sons were married and the wives came along.

Eve had sons and daughters. Her sons married their sisters.

Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives...no incest.
