Help from parents and teachers of special needs children?

I'm an adapted pe teacher and looking to take my skills and knowledge public. So I'm doing some market research. My questions are:

1. What does your child do for physical activity?

2. Do you think physical activity is important?

3. What concerns you the most related to movement...? Sensory integration, fitness, improve grades, other?

4. Would you rather learn how to work with your child or have someone do it?

5. Finally, if you could give a brief description of your your child; age, needs, etc.

Thank you so much for your time and effort.

    1. My son does as little as he can for physical activity. He is not comfortable and confident in using his body.

    2. I think physical activity is very important. My son does not agree.

    3. I would love if my son was more confident doing physical activity. He moves very awkwardly. He has very poor motor planning skills and control. I would love if he could at least be able to blend in to a group situation in gym or sports. I hate that he feels like he doesn't belong doing that stuff. He sees it very black and white. Either you like sports or you don't.

    4. I gave up a long time ago being a therapist for my kids. They don't take that kind of stuff well from a parent. I have a lot of skills to work with children with special needs. They just want me to be a mom. I then have to coordinate all the things around them like therapy and activities so that they get what they need. They will work on a lot more things for a therapist or teacher. They just want to be kids at home, not students.

    5. I have two children. One is autistic and 12. The other has some sensory issues and 9. They both are in Physical therapy to help them with their motor, movement and strengthening skills. The 12 year old is also in OT for a lot of the same reasons. Insurance covers most of the therapy.

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck!

nicely, finding on what you know and how a good number of it you know. it is going to be an greater handy adventure, even nevertheless it gets complicated as time is going on and regulations substitute and your toddler variations colleges. i've got faith that your adventure would be consistent with how plenty push you have on your toddler, and how plenty the college workers is prepared to assist your toddler, yet i might say that that's terrific to know the regulations and what's suitable and whats not while it is composed of your toddler and save on with it... there are colleges that are magnificent and there are colleges that are dreadful. See what your toddler desires and look at colleges which have it. i might recommend smaller colleges because of the fact the class are greater advantageous while the instructor has time to concentration on your toddler while your toddler desires them... I easily have a brother who has Downs Syndrome and that i've got a discovering incapacity, so i know how the colleges artwork from the scholars perspective, I additionally know the way it works on the regulation area because of the fact of my mothers employer; she is an recommend and he or she enables dad and mom which have infants with particular desires. I easily have been working along with her as a young ones recommend. I easily have finished college and that i had basically somewhat of complication getting what became stated in my IEP yet I made confident that it became given to me. for secondary college i became in a shape college that became basically beginning so it became an truly small putting and for HS i became in Public HS that became additionally small my senior class in hassle-free terms had 25 pupils; even tho I had complication it became not that undesirable, thats why i prefer to recommend colleges which have a small class length, because of the fact i think like the instructor can connect with the pupil on a greater very own point and comprehend what that pupil might might desire to assist them at college...
