    They may have been going on the fact that the anime was dubbed by 4Kids TV when it began being released in english. That version of the dub is considered to be for children, because 4kids only releases child-friendly versions of animes. It someone were to make assumptions based on that, they could easily make that mistake, by not realizing that a.) there are differences between the anime an manga and b.) 4Kids took out a lot of things they considered to be 'mature content'.

    That, or their just being idiots. Some people reccommend things that are not actually appropriate for the age group because they either don't expect you to check up on it(very responsible decision, by the way), or they were allowed to read it when they were younger, so they don't see why you wouldn't let your kid do so.

    And a quick note, I can't see the 'kid' your reffering to, because I'm on my wii and can't follow the links, but if it's Luffy (the one with a straw hat), I don't think he's actually a kid. ^^;

    One Piece is good for kids the first five books or so, but then the story gets a little more in depth with fighting and and it's more graphic. The drawings however, are sometimes silly, and most kids tend to like this kind of manga. It's actually not for kids. It's rated for teens, as most mangas are.

    Let me explain this.The show One Piece is based on the manga and when the show got over to US, One piece was dubbed by a dubbing company called 4kids because they wanted to try and make One Piece for kids to get popular in the united states, and so that it could be played on fox network back in that time period. As a result they took out the blood, alcohol, death, and anything else that would cause trouble for them. They even took out some of the story arcs. Later in the future funimation got the rights to One Piece and added back more of the content that 4kids took out. In the original manga it is not meant for kids but for teenagers instead.

    It's a subjective question, and it depends on how old he is.

    One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto (the general top three) are shonen and young male-orientated. Scenes like that are pretty typical in them.

    I wouldn't recommend it for a 7-year-old, but it's relatively fine for 10. I started reading them when I was 11, after all.

    We tend to recommend those for kids (getting to around middle-school-aged) or new readers because those are the most popular in their shonen genre (meaning it's aimed at young males, although the reading base also has a lot of girls). They're mainstream with the typical "protagonist fights antagonist, loses, gets stronger, wins" cycle. It's not terribly complicated and lots of kids read them.

    When you have an issue to helping your son or daughter that's trouble studying, no real matter what era she\he this program is what you need, Children Learning Reading from here https://tr.im/Bnq7T .

    Children Learning Reading is distinctive from other programs because it doesn't count on teaching phrases by view, a way that depends on children recognizing and memorizing phrases by their material and structure. You might have seen (or actually purchased!) classes that promote whole word recognition learning, these courses frequently need you to remain your child before a tv or computer check for an important amount of time so as in order for them to understand phrases that will let them to begin their studying journey.

    With Children Learning Reading your kid will only need to invest 5\15 minutes at time and he\she can learn to build the term creating the whole means of learning how to read much more effectively.

    Not for little kids, maybe 10, 11 and up? But it's not super graphic, and have you seen half the stuff on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon? It's not the worst thing out there, and compared to a lot of manga and comics, not that bad! Your kid has probably already seen worse.

    You must teach your kid how to depict real things from fiction.as soon as i could read i was reading this kind of stuff. better than one piece though. its the same as any other thing on TV or in life. and it is oriented for younger age groups roughly around 8 and up.

    Don't let 4Crap (4Kids, the people that dubbed it first) fool you. One Piece isn't aimed at small children. But it's not going to scar them for life if they read it, so it's okay.
