What is the meaning of this saying on my tea bag tag?

It's a Salada tea bag. The tag reads "TO MAKE A SPONGE CAKE, BORROW THE BUTTER, BORROW THE EGGS, BORROW THE..."

Is that supposed to mean something? I just don't get it.

Update:

oh, duh.. LOL.. I guess that's obvious :-)

I guess I was expecting a wise saying like a fortune cookie, not a joke!

A person who is called a sponge metaphorically sucks up resources from people he comes into contact with. Typically, he may borrow money, and not return it.

Thus, in this play on words, a sponge cake is made by borrowing all the ingredients.
