Send your full financial commitments to child support. Also send in hospital data with expected time to be spent in hospital and in recovery. This will need to be signed by a doctor. It may e that you will not like someone else knowing your business but in the long run it may be worth it. So get writing and good luck

The site below has the formula for computing child support in New Jersey. You should contact the lawyer who represented you to see about reducing the amount. Judges tend to reduce amounts for a legitimate reason, however the key would probably be the long term outlook for your income and that of your former spouse. They probably won't throw you in jail but your income tax refunds and pay checks could be attached for back payments when you fall behind. Best wishes.
