Has anyone yet received a refund from Ryanair for the volcanic disruption?

We were stranded in Majorca and just told to go away and fax them! We stayed for four days until we could fly home and kept to a low budget (of necessity). I know it was not their fault but have faxed them (after 14 atttempts to get through) over 2 months ago and have had no response. I faxed them again and am still waiting. Has anyone had a refund please?

I was stuck in lanzarote for an extra 10 days so know the hastle poeple think great stuck in the sun but not when you are running out of money/clean clothes.

we also had trouble trying to get our money we were told that they recorded our refund request at the airport yet when we checked on line a few days later they said we missed our flight after submitting a second one on line we left it for 2 weeks as that's what there t&c's say will take them to refund you.

we contacted them again as no refund had been given and we also got an e-mail saying they were not going to refund us.

we called them and in formed them that both my wife and i work in the travel industry and that we know our right they said put another refund request in and it would be done with in a week and guess what it wasnt, called them again and said if they dont refund we will take it further and even to court as they had broken there own t&c's to which they paniced and refunded us with in 2 days.

what i will tell you about ryanair is they wont just give you your money you will need to chase the for it as they longer they have it the more likely you are to saying "just forget it" and they keep your money.

I agree with the other guy that has posted a link to there web that they are snowed under with refunds..............but that page prob aint been up dated since it was posted so i doubt they could use that excuse over 3 month after the disruption.

1)call them dont fax them they should have your form so pointless sending it again unless they have lost it.

    2) say you will take it further ie court or caa

3)note names and what time you called

4)find a different number google for "say no to 0870"

Their website says, that due to higher demand for refunds than was anticipated, claims are taking 8 weeks to settle. It also says that once you have contacted them, don't re-submit correspondence as this will further delay claims. Just in case you haven't seen the information contained on Ryanair's website I have attached the link below -
