Considering how the public school system is being dismantled, I would consider homeschooling-if you can. So, you can buy or rent a home in a not so prestigious area. I understand young people want to create a home for their children, and want to buy a house. But doing so is no longer an investment. And that's ok--just realize renting is fine also.
