Why did John Kerry try to put a BUY AMERICAN clause in the Stimulus Bill, but buy a yatch made in New Zealand?

The sickening hypocrisy of these liberals is just breathtaking. They've bled our economy dry, we're permanently indebted, they call us unpatriotic for complaining about excessive taxation, yet when it comes time to save some pocket change for a gazillionaire, they take advantage of every loophole.

I understand both sides of this argument. As americans we should be buying american anyway. However things made in america are much more expensive than it is from other countries and it is because of labor unions here in the US. I have a friend who is a successful business person and no there is no union involvd with his business. He has several business through out the US and yes one plant overseas and just opened a business this week in Pennsylvania, because he has used common sense to run his business he has done very well, his employess make good money and do not have to give that money up to a union, he listens to his employees and their ideas, and yes he rewards them if he uses their ideas in his product. If people only buy American then everything will collapse just as it did back in the 30's....and the world does not need this. But as it is right now, american products are way over rated and too expensive and at this point I am buying cheap, and don't care who makes it. I have to keep as much money in my pocket so that I can feed my family and buy this precious gas to go in my car. So it basically comes down to this, if you want the world to go down the tube economically worse than it is now, then push the buy american, we will have enemies. but I see and understand both sides of the argument.....but if american compaines did not charge so much for their goods, then it would be easier to buy them and support these companies.

Kerry is far more transparent then Obama. We knew all about Kerry during his failed

bid to be President. So whats the big flap over his not backing an American product.

If you're building boats that cost $7 million then you aren't one of those "Struggling American Boatbuilders" if you are then maybe you should think about lowering the cost of your boats, or increasing the quality so people will buy from you.

If you care so much about it, why don't you go buy a $7 million boat that's American made. It's his money he can do with it what he wants.

he is a liberal that says it all, they live in a world all there own. they tell others to conserve and are the biggest wasters, i don't need to name any examples we all know who they are. the gjuy wanted to save money, he is in goverment the last thing he wants to do is pay taxes on anything so he can pay his own salary as well as for everything that he does at work. there all bigots/lairs/thieves john kerry is no different, its only a matter of time before he gets on tv with some sorta scandle.

Don't forget he bought that yacht in Rhode Island to avoid paying sales taxes (which tally to around $500K). It's okay for the rest of us to pay sales taxes, but not the dems. They really do know how to spend other people's money.
