Wouldn't the Bat signal only work on cloudy nights?

If you shine a spotlight with the bat logo during the day or on clear nights, you wouldn't be able to see it. You'd only be able to see it at night when it can be reflected off the clouds.

Update:

You'd be able to see the beam, but you wouldn't be able to see the actual bat logo. How is Batman to know whether he's being called or whether some frat house is having a party and rented a spotlight?

Lol, you can in fact see a good enough light signal on a clear night. if good flashlights can do it, you can bet a high tech light like the bat signal could.

Source(s): light saber duels in the sky with flashlights at camp. Those suckers were pretty obvious.
