2001 lincoln ls problem?
i have a lincoln ls with V8 has 81,000 miles on it. the problem i have is that it has a bit of a shake to it when the engine is cold when it warms up its still there but barely noticeable also at around 50mph the r.p.ms kind of fluctuate it doesn't do this all the time its kind of rare but it all ways shakes a bit at cold start ups and even when its up to temp. so what is the problem? i have done all general maintenance stuff that i can think of fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, oil change, cleaned throttle body, fuel injector cleaner. keep it mind it was doing this even before i did all this

Sounds like an ignition coil is going bad. Be prepared.... When one goes, it seems to overload the system and eventually they all need replacing. Cols run $35-55 a piece depending on where you buy them. I looked to see if a Mustang or F-150 coil would swap and possibly use a high-perf model from Accel or MSD. Alas, nothing crosses over. The 3.9L is kind of a white elephant.
