You are being unfair and also inaccurate. To the Democratic party's credit, they are being very up-front about Charlie Rengal, a beloved member of Congress, who is now in his 80s, having served in the House of Representatives most of his adult life. The DEMOCRATS, his own party---led by tiny-in-stature/big-in power Nancy Pelosi---who brought ethics charges up. This could have been swept under the rug until after the November election, so a KUDOS goes to the Democrats for being honest and forthright even when one of their own is caught up in the outcome.

Democrats in both the House and Senate have been busy taking care of the people of this country; Republicans have blocked EVERYTHING, including unemployment insurance and vitally needed financial system reforms. They even tried to block President Obama's efforts to have BP pay UPFRONT for the damages they've caused, because their bed-buddies BIG OIL has been allowed to get away with MURDER (both literally and figuratively) under Republican totalitarianism, and the Republicans even put a CAP on what these fatcat trillion-dollar companies would have to pay ($75 MILLION---notice not BILLION, but a puny "million" that would not even BEGIN to cover clean-up, let alone compensation to cover damages to states, businesses, people, and marine animals or our eco-system!
