Can anyone help with these names?

I posted this last night, but let's see if I can get a few more answers :)

So me and my boyfriend aren't having babies yet, but we enjoy talking about names a lot. We've had a favorite boy name for about 3 years now, we have just been going back and forth between middle/first names for it. Right now I'm really liking the name David, it was my Grandpa's name, it's my Uncle's name and a close friend of my boyfriend's name, so it could be used to honor quite a few important people in our lives. The thing is, I don't like the nickname Dave, so it would either be a middle name or a first name where the middle name is the name he is called. We put it with our favorite name and I would like to know which way you think sounds best :)

Atticus David or David Atticus: I think we're leaning more towards David Atticus and calling him Atticus (which is our favorite boy name btw). Which sounds best and which do you prefer? Also if you were to use the names seperately; David and Atticus, what are some first and middle name combos for each that you think look and sound good?

One of our favorite girl names right now is Allie, not a longer version, just Allie. I think Allie is one of the few "nickname" names, that would be able to hold it's on when she is an adult too. So I don't want to hear longer versions, or that we should use a longer version, we like Allie. I just can't figure out a middle name for it. So, I would like some suggestions. :)

So it boils down to: Do you prefer Atticus David or David Atticus? What first and middle name combos sound good for the names seperately? And what is some suggestions for Allie as a middle name?

Thanks Guys <3

Update:

My Name is Isobel: It used to be La Vie Boheme, I've changed it a few times :)

I like David Atticus better but I would never name my son either options...I just hope he (your future son) doesn't tell any of his friends his middle name....

    DAVID ATTICUS or ATTICUS DAVID?

I am like you. I love the name David, but hate the nickname Dave. I'm like this way with Jake and Jacob as well, though I prefer Jake over Jacob. It's odd how just a couple of letters really matter - but they do! :) There almost like two different names.

I prefer David Atticus. It flows better than Atticus David and I prefer Atticus as a middle name anyway. Atticus is a wonderful name - it reminds me of Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird - but I simply think that the quirky aspect of it makes it better suited as a middle name.

NAME SETS for DAVID and ATTICUS?

How about David Timshel and Atticus Elias? Timshel is actually a word/phrase from the Bible. It's a favorite of mine I've put aside lately. I found it in "East of Eden." Long story short, how it's is translated is important. The character discover that it means "thou mayest (be delivered from evil)" (and not "thou must") meaning you have control on your on destiny and soul. I figured Timshel fits perfectly with the literary context that Atticus has. I picked Elias to complement David from the other name set, but in style and letter number. Both Elias and David are old Biblical names.

    Other possibilities:

    David Bennett

    David Everett

    David Rhys

    David Julian

    Atticus Reid

    Atticus Elisha (ee LYE sha)

    Atticus Henry

    Atticus Jake

    ALLIE?

    Allie Elizabeth

    Allie Eugenie

    Allie Charlotte

    Allie Gwendolen

    Allie Lorraine

    Allie Eleanore

    Allie Philomena

    Allie Willamina

    Allie Shenandoah

I definitely prefer something longer with Allie, since Allie is so short and simple. Some of those that I suggested may be too long or too unusual to go with what you want for Allie. I am mainly just trying to look for a complement. Also, I know this goes against what you asked, but how about Aline as a given name with Allie as a nickname? I'm sure the nickname would catch pretty easily, Aline and Allie sounds so similar. (Aline is pronounced "ah LEEN.")

BTW, what is your former screen name? I have you as a Yahoo! Contact and I recognize some of your info, but I am having trouble remembering you.

I love the name Atticus, but it might be hard for a kid to grow up with the name Atticus so I would choose David Atticus.

And how about Allie Camille or Allie Louise?
