Hi, I'm Ciera. I'll be 21 in April. I'm a Georgia girl born and raised. I'm a huge name nerd..I love coming up with names to call "future" children, but mostly it makes me feel accomplished when I put together 2 names that sound amazing together. Other than the baby name section, you might see my in tattoos, love them ♥ I have 3 to date, but plan on getting more. But the main place I go, is Baby Names. Sometimes I will search out Long Distance Relationship questions. I was in one for 3 years with an amazing man from New Jersey, but due to conflict with his family were not in a relationship at the moment, but I'm hoping that will change. I also search out questions about Spina Bifida, I was born with it so I have a lot of knowledge on the subject. I'm thinking of becoming a nurse to work with children with the same birth defect, helping them and their parents cope and learn how to deal with it <3 I will update as more goes on in my life, & hopefully add a name list link soon.

  • Can anyone help with these names?

I posted this last night, but let's see if I can get a few more answers :)

So me and my boyfriend aren't having babies yet, but we enjoy talking about names a lot. We've had a favorite boy name for about 3 years now, we have just been going back and forth between middle/first names for it. Right now I'm really liking the name David, it was my Grandpa's name, it's my Uncle's name and a close friend of my boyfriend's name, so it could be used to honor quite a few important people in our lives. The thing is, I don't like the nickname Dave, so it would either be a middle name or a first name where the middle name is the name he is called. We put it with our favorite name and I would like to know which way you think sounds best :)

Atticus David or David Atticus: I think we're leaning more towards David Atticus and calling him Atticus (which is our favorite boy name btw). Which sounds best and which do you prefer? Also if you were to use the names seperately; David and Atticus, what are some first and middle name combos for each that you think look and sound good?

One of our favorite girl names right now is Allie, not a longer version, just Allie. I think Allie is one of the few "nickname" names, that would be able to hold it's on when she is an adult too. So I don't want to hear longer versions, or that we should use a longer version, we like Allie. I just can't figure out a middle name for it. So, I would like some suggestions. :)

So it boils down to: Do you prefer Atticus David or David Atticus? What first and middle name combos sound good for the names seperately? And what is some suggestions for Allie as a middle name?

    Thanks Guys <3

  • Help with this girl name :)?

I asked this late last night and got some really good answers, but I wanted to ask while more people were on and get any different answers or opinions :]

Ok here's the deal, me and my boyfriend both really like the name Sarah-Jane....it is the first and only double barrel name I have ever liked, but I love that it's a little unique and that it's two slightly common, vintage, elegant names that go together and make a cute, less common name overall. Now here's the problem, we can't decide whether we want to use it as Sarah-Jane (middle name) (last name), we're worried that may be a little long and that we won't be able to find a middle name that sounds good and flows (although that is my preferred way of using the name), or if we could just do the first name Sarah-Jane and not give her a middle name so it's not as long (it's not like there's a whole lot of Sarah-Jane's in this world with his last name) or if we should do Sarah Jane with it being first and middle. I really want to do Sarah-Jane (middle) (last), I just can't find a middle name I like. I think the only other option we would use is Sarah Jane being the first and middle, but he has a cousin he is very close to (she's like a sister) who's name is Sarah and we wouldn't want her to just be called Sarah, because we are so close to someone with that name, and because we just like Sarah-Jane better...and I'm afraid if we use it as a first and middle, schools and people will try to just call her Sarah.

Ok after the very confusing long explanation haha. Which option do you prefer, I'm aware most people don't like double names, but for our situation, which option do you prefer?

If we did go with Sarah-Jane (middle) (last), what middle names do you suggest? Lots of names would be appreciated. And the last name starts with a Dan- sound, just so it can help you get an idea of what would sound good :)

Sorry guys for the long explanation, I just wanted you to completely understand where I'm coming from ♥

  • Song from Who is Clark Rockefeller?

During the wedding scene, there is a classical song played softly in the background. I've heard it before, it used to be one of my favorite songs and I have always been in love with it, but I could never remember what it was called. It was on a tape and I lost the tape, so now I have no way of figuring it out. So if anybody knows what song it is or can find out, I would be eternally grateful if you could figure out what it is for me, because I've tried everything.

    Thanks Guys :)

  • What is your opinion?

I recently fell in love with the name Hattie. I think it is absolutely adorable, vintage, classic, and unique yet normal. I did a little research on the name, looking for full names for it and the only ones I could find are Harriet and Henrietta, neither of which I love, or even like. But still Hattie stays. I think it could be fine as a name on it's on, but I'm not quite sold on it. Do you think it could be an actual name even though it's more often a nickname? And if so, how would you imagine a girl named Hattie to be...as a child, teen and adult?

    Thanks Everybody ♥

  • Middle names for the girl name Darcy?

I have liked the name Darcy for a very long time. I kind of forgot about it for a while and remembered it a few days ago and my love for it has grown. I think it's spunky, cute, feminine, unique and vintage sounding. As luck would have it, where my boyfriend normally doesn't like names like this...he loves Darcy! So it makes me like it even more. I have spent the last day and a half trying to think up middle names for it. So far my favorites are Darcy Imogen, Imogen being one of my favorite names. And Darcy Louise, which is just classy and beautiful. I like Darcy Imogen more, but it just doesn't have that "right" feeling. The last name would be Daneker..Darcy Daneker, I think it's so cute, now if we could just come up with a middle name to go with it. Btw. I'm not pregnant, we just enjoy coming up with names.

I like all different kinds of names, Classic, Avant Garde, Unique.....I just don't prefer common names. I have made lists and lists of middle names, so it's gonna be hard to come up with names that I haven't thought of, but I really would like ya'lls opinion on the name and middle name suggestions :)

    Thanks guys ♥

  • What are your opinions on this name?

So I'm not a fan of Bailey/Kaylee or any name like that. I just don't think they're pretty or sound good...that's my opinion. Which is why I don't understand how I have all of a sudden fell into lust with the name Zailey or any other spelling variation. I have never before thought of or even considered this name, and I looked it up and it says it's a made up name, which I normally don't like either.

But for some reason Zailey, I think it's adorable and while it is technically made up, it's a name that I can imagine hearing on a woman in the 1920's when "out there" names were normal.

So what are your opinions on the name, do you like it, is it weird and what would you think if you met a girl with that name? What other ways of spelling it can you think of and if you paired it with a middle name what would you pick? What first name would you use if you were using it as a middle name?

    Thanks everyone <3

  • Help with this girls name?

So my new favorite girl name is Arionna (Are-ee-on-ah). I love it, it's unique. I've never met anyone named that and it's not extremely popular right now and it sounds absolutely amazing with the last name :) So I've been trying to come up with middle names for it. So first off, with the last name Daneker what are some middle names you like or think sound good?

Second, I swore I would never do it. I don't like the name, but I thought about pairing it with Elaine (mine and my momma's middle name) for Arionna Elaine Daneker.....and as much as I don't want to......I really think I like it =) So in addition to middle name suggestions, let me know what you think of that pairing?

Thanks guys <3 Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

  • Fellow Name Nerds: What If?

I started thinking the other day.....it's so easy to get caught up in a lot of names and have so many names that I love. I would love to have enough kids to use all my favorite names (at least 4 or 5), but in reality we'll probably only end up with 3 maybe 4 if I'm lucky. But I had a thought, what if for some reason, I was only able to have 2, one of each. Having so many names that I love and that mean a lot to me that's a scary thought, because all I could think was "And How Many Names Can I Use" haha. So for the past couple of days I've been trying to really sort through my names and figure out what I would name one boy and one girl, out of all my favorite names.

So, if you knew that out of all your names you would only be able to use, one boys name and one girls name, which ones would you pick? Would you give them just one middle name or two or three, just so you could use all your names?

I just wanted to see what everyone else could come up with or would want to use :)

  • What do you think of this girls name?

I came across this name a few minutes ago and really like it. I initially started by pronouncing it Air-ee-on-ah, but I think the pronunciation Are-ee-on-ah, sounds better with the last name. So I have a few questions :)

    1. Do you like the name (either pronunciation) and which way do you pronounce it?

    2. Which pronunciation do you prefer and which do you think sounds better with the last name Daneker?

    3. Do have any spellings that you prefer or think would be easily pronounced in the way I like? The spellings I've seen so far are: Ariana, Arianna, Aryana, Aryanna.....and I'm not quite sure which one I like most.

    4. Which spelling do you think looks best with the last name?

Thanks everyone, your help, answers and opinions are really appreciated <3

  • Naming a girl Louisanna?

LeeLee Sobieski had a daughter on Wednesday and just revealed her name to be.....Louisanna Ray :) Now I'm not a huge follower of her, the only movie I remember her from is Deep Impact. But I've been following her pregnancy for a while now, wondering what she would name the baby because she has such a unique name herself. And so I'm wonderfully surprised and pleased at her name choice. I don't really like Ray, but I've never thought of Louisanna as a name, but I actually really really like it!

So what are ya'lls opinions on this name and names like this, names where someone takes a beautiful word and uses it as a name. Example one of my favorite names is Antebellum, it's definitely not a name....but I think it's a beautiful word with potential to be a name. So what are your opinions on the name Louisanna and other words/names like it? What are some of your favorite names like that?

  • Questions about two new names :)?

So at dinner tonight, I was telling my boyfriend about a new name I had found, which is an Italian version of Madeleine......Maddalena <3 Love it (Opinions about it would be nice) but then out of the blue, he tells me that his Great Grandmother who moved to the Usa from Italy was named Modesta......how he withheld this from me knowing how much I love names like that I don't know, but he did. And now I'm totally in love with it, it doesn't hurt either that it is a family name on his side, which makes me like it more.

So what are your opinions on the names Maddalena (Mad-Uh-Lee-Nah) and Modesta (Moe-Des-Tah)? I was thinking about putting Ruth with Maddalena for Maddalena Ruth, which I love (Ruth was my Grandma's middle name) but some other suggestions for both names would be nice. I know they're more unique names, but they're names from his heritage and I think they're gorgeous :)

    Thanks Guys <3

  • Using a name that has meaning?

If you liked a weird name....if it had some sort of special meaning to you. Knowing that it was "different or weird" and that people might sneer or make rude remarks about your choice....would your love for the name and the meaning mean more than what people think?

The reason I'm asking is because I am insanely in love with the name Zuzu from the movie It's a Wonderful Life, which is an amazing movie and was always a favorite of my daddy's and our family and is now a favorite of mine and my boyfriend's. The daughter in the movie, they call her Zuzu though they never say if that's her real name or a nickname. And I am in love with it, I think I could only use it as a middle name but I would still love to use it. So it has a really big special meaning, now should I let society and other people stop me from using it (when we have kids) or go with what I think and want?

Also can you suggest some names that use Zuzu as the middle name, I'm having a hard time finding things even if it only becomes a "dream name".

    Thanks guys :)

  • Finding the perfect middle name :)?

First off, we're not pregnant..just love talking about names and the future.

Second, we have been head over heels in love with the name Eloise for over a year now and we have tried and tried to come up with a middle name that fits and feels "right". Well I have just found a combination that I am crazy about and it finally fits and has the right feeling, of course still have to run it by him (which is always scary considering how different our name tastes are :) And I just wanted ya'lls opinion on the combo, just for added affect.

Here it is....... Eloise Harlow Daneker :) Please be nice in your opinions, not nasty and if you don't like the name Eloise, it doesn't matter because it's staying...all I would like is opinions on the flow and sound of the first and middle name with the last name, which is pronounced Dan-eh-ker.

    Thanks everyone <3

  • Help with the name Ruth?

My Grandma's middle name was Ruth and I have always wanted to use it to honor her. We're not pregnant but we have been talking about names for a while and I have tried and tried to find something that sounds good with the middle name Ruth, but I can't find anything that feels "right". So now I'm thinking maybe I could use it as a first name, I definitely love the name enough to do that, but I have a few things holding me back...so I'm hoping ya'll can help :)

    1. Do you think Ruth is too "old-fashioned" sounding?

    2. I have a hard time imagining a little girl named Ruth, even a young adult, can you tell me what kind of girl or adult you imagine with the name?

    3. Do you know anyone named Ruth or are you named Ruth, a description and opinion would be great!

    4. Do you have suggestions for a middle name for Ruth and could you help and maybe come up with some names that sound good with Ruth as the middle name?

I know that's a lot to ask, but ya'lls opinions and answers would be so appreciated, and rude answers really aren't needed, so if you're not gonna be nice please don't answer.

Thanks guys, I really am stuck on this <3

  • Halley as a boy's name?

My grandfather's (daddy's father) name was Halley, pronounced like Hallie Berry. So it's always been a in-between name that I preferred more on boy's but most people use on girls. I've always loved the name for a boy and wanted to use it, not as a first but as a middle, unless he just looked like a Halley. My question is, if you met a boy named Halley, would it seem weird to you because it is mainly used on girls. And also what are some names that you can come up with that sound good with Halley as a middle name and the last name Daneker?

Also what is your opinion on the name Killian (Cillian) pronounced how it looks? Which spelling do you prefer and what are some combinations you can come up with using it as a first and/ or middle name using the same last name?

Thanks guys, and please if you don't know how to give good advice don't answer this question, I don't want to hear that a name makes you want to "puke" :)

  • Thoughts and suggestions for these names?

So we're in love with the names Archie and Eloise for our "future" children. Unfortunately it's always the names you love that you can't come up with middle names for, so I'm hoping maybe ya'll can suggest a few that will fit for us :) I would like to know what ya'll think about the names too. Last name will be Daneker, so you know what sounds good.

Thanks guys ♥ All answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Needing Middle Name Ideas?

So the last name will be (when we have children) Daneker.

I would like as many ideas as I can get because I'm at a loss with both names. The girl name is Eloise "" Daneker, which we love because it's classic, unique without being crazy, it will age well, has plenty of nickname possibilities and it's just plain adorable :)

The boy name, I love the name Archie and tried and tried to come up with a "real name" and use Archie as a nickname, but I don't like any of the "real names", so me and my boyfriend finally decided that Archie as the first name and it not being short for anything was fine, and we love it. So Archie "" Daneker.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Although if you don't plan on answering my question nicely or in a respectable way, just don't bother :)

    Thanks everyone ♥
