Can anyone help with these names?

So me and my boyfriend aren't having babies yet, but we enjoy talking about names a lot. We've had a favorite boy name for about 3 years now, we have just been going back and forth between middle/first names for it. Right now I'm really liking the name David, it was my Grandpa's name, it's my Uncle's name and a close friend of my boyfriend's name, so it could be used to honor quite a few important people in our lives. The thing is, I don't like the nickname Dave, so it would either be a middle name or a first name where the middle name is the name he is called. We put it with our favorite name and I would like to know which way you think sounds best :)

Atticus David or David Atticus: I think we're leaning more towards David Atticus and calling him Atticus (which is our favorite boy name btw). Which sounds best and which do you prefer? Also if you were to use the names seperately; David and Atticus, what are some first and middle name combos for each that you think look and sound good?

One of our favorite girl names right now is Allie, not a longer version, just Allie. I think Allie is one of the few "nickname" names, that would be able to hold it's on when she is an adult too. So I don't want to hear longer versions, or that we should use a longer version, we like Allie. I just can't figure out a middle name for it. So, I would like some suggestions. :)

So it boils down to: Do you prefer Atticus David or David Atticus? What first and middle name combos sound good for the names seperately? And what is some suggestions for Allie as a middle name?

Thanks Guys <3

I think if you plan on calling him Atticus, you should name him Atticus David. My step father was born John Phillip but went by his middle name, Phil, his whole entire life. He laments about how much of a pain in the butt it is to be called Phil when technically his first name is John. On the upside, he can always tell when a telemarketer calls because they always ask for John. (Obviously, if it was someone who knew him, they'd ask for Phil.)

Anyways. I prefer Atticus as a first name anyways because David is far more common in the first name slot. I think Atticus David sounds really handsome and aesthetically pleasing. If you ended up using each name separately, I'd suggest:

    David Theodore

    David Maddox

    David Bennett

    David Sebastian

    David Alexander

    David Hunter

    David Finlay

    David Tristan

    David Anthony

    David Nathaniel

    David Benjamin

    Atticus Rhys

    Atticus Leo

    Atticus Ethan

    Atticus Heath

    Atticus Corbin

    Atticus Riley

    Atticus Gabriel

    Atticus Jacob

    Atticus Brandt

    Atticus Evander

Also, I actually know two girls named Allie, not short for Alison or Alexandra. One of them is Allie Michele and one is Allie Brianne. I personally love Allie as a nickname for Alessandra. But, for middle name suggestions:

    Allie Tatiana

    Allie Caroline

    Allie Bridgette

    Allie Victoria

    Allie Estella

    Allie Jacqueline

    Allie Seraphina

    Allie Madeleine

    Allie Rosabel

    Allie Charlize

    Allie Penelope

    Allie Isobel

    Allie Juliet

    Allie Lucienne

    Allie Violet

    Allie Katrina

Source(s): Atticus David & Allie Seraphina sound gorgeous together!

I say definitely Atticus David. It sounds better. Plus if he's going by Atticus anyway it makes more sense.

Allie Nicole, Allie Marie, Allie Hope, Allie Jade, Allie Corrine

I personally love Atticus David :D

First of all, I like David Atticus way better than the other way around.

Christopher David is a nice name, and you could always call him Topher.
