Fellow Name Nerds: What If?

I started thinking the other day.....it's so easy to get caught up in a lot of names and have so many names that I love. I would love to have enough kids to use all my favorite names (at least 4 or 5), but in reality we'll probably only end up with 3 maybe 4 if I'm lucky. But I had a thought, what if for some reason, I was only able to have 2, one of each. Having so many names that I love and that mean a lot to me that's a scary thought, because all I could think was "And How Many Names Can I Use" haha. So for the past couple of days I've been trying to really sort through my names and figure out what I would name one boy and one girl, out of all my favorite names.

So, if you knew that out of all your names you would only be able to use, one boys name and one girls name, which ones would you pick? Would you give them just one middle name or two or three, just so you could use all your names?

I just wanted to see what everyone else could come up with or would want to use :)

Update:

Btw: Here's the rough draft of the names I've chosen.

**Atticus Emedio Hezekiah for a boy. Atticus was the first name we totally agreed on and it's still here almost 3 years later. Emedio was his Grandpop's name and means a lot to him, and Hezekiah has been one of my favorite names for a middle name for about 7 or 8 years now.

And I know Ruth would definitely be her middle name, it was my Grandma's middle name and my favorite middle name for a girl. As for a first name, right now it's a tie between:

Josephine Ruth (Joey)

&

Arionna Ruth (Are-ee-on-ah)

So my 2 babies would be--

Atticus Emedio Hezekiah &

Josephine or Arionna Ruth

<3 Thanks guys for the stars :)

Wow, interesting question! Star for you!

Well......... I love alot of names but I have like levels..... In the top top slot I'd have a hard time between only two girl names that I would have a hard time with.

I would consider which my husband liked best outta those and use that one because it's his choice too and that takes the pressure off of me lol. Then we'd BOTH be happy if we only got to use ONE girl name (Or if he didn't LOVE either of the two names then he'd at least choose the one he liked best lol)

Boy names for ME is easy because I will name him after my husband. If you have ONE boy I say let your husband have a big part in it, weither it's his name or a name he loves since you're only going to have one and it's going to be his boy. If he wants to name it after his father or someone important, or a name off of your list that you both like I would use that.

(I don't like to put my top choice names so that's why I didn't. I fear popularity lol)

Good question, something we should all think about really!

Source(s): My logic lol OH P.S I mean I would use one MIDDLE name I like that better unless it was for family name sake reasons then two each but no more than that! Remember the child has to write all that out throughtout it's life!

See, my problem is the fact that I love names but I just don't have the patience for children because I get irritated and angry way too easily. I wouldn't want the kids to have to deal with that. So I just have all of these names that I love and would love to be able to use, but won't ever be able to. And if I do have any kids it would be just one because more than that would make me crazy! Ha. My dilemma is a bit different. :(

Anyway, now on to answering your question, I'd give them just one middle name. I don't really like two middle names. The names would be:

    Girl: Quinn Michelle

Boy: Declan Jace or Declan Jude (I can't decide!)

I know what you mean- when you think of the future it's easy to focus on the names and forget about the actual number of kids... I myself want no less than two because my life would be soooo different without my sisters and I would want my child to get the same experience of being a sibling, and no more than 4 because I don't think I could handle that much... I love kids and want to work with them in the future, so I don't want to have a child-related job AND a family full of children.

Well my favorite names for each are very similar so I'm not sure I would use them as a sibling set: Lena and Liam. Since Hebrew's my native language (I'm from Israel), I want my kids to have Hebrew names or at least ones that are easily pronounceable and spelled in Hebrew, and these would both work. I also love the name Lyla (LIE-luh)- it's so pretty and means "night" in Hebrew, plus it's unique in Israel (I've never met a Lyla). My very very favorite is Lena, but I think Liam and Lyla sounds better than Liam and Lena.

    SO:

for a girl- Lena (or Lyla) Ronie (ronie is best pronounced in English as ROE-nee); I know it doesn't flow well but Ronie's my grandma who is like a second mom to me (:

for a boy- Liam... I have no idea about a middle name actually! I need to find some Hebrew names that I like. I love Liam Chase though, or possibly Liam Daniel or Liam Michael after one of my grandparents, and although this sounds horrid, Liam Shmuel (sh-MOO-el) after my great-grandpa. Horrible name, but such an amazing person...

So now that I think about it, having two middle names might actually be good- one Hebrew name and one in English, or one an honorary name and one that I just like.

I don't know what I would choose in the future, but as of today I would choose...

    Nora Denise

-Nora is after my grandmother, and I really love this name. Denise is a cute counterpart to Nora, though I also like Sage as a middle name. If I were not going to name after a relitive, I would choose Bella Adare.

    Caiden Reese

-Caiden is a cute Irish name, which I really want, since it matches my Irish last name, and Reese is a lovely accent!

    This is an interesting question.

Growing up, when I was being silly, and picking names for my "future kids" I had always envisioned Blake for my son. I never really had a girls name picked out. We have just decided within the last 10 minutes our next child will be Charlotte, that name certainly was not on my list even while I was pregnant with my son (Logan), before we knew he was a boy. I think it changes when you actually are carrying the child, and it's real.

Well since I already have 1 son do I get to cheat and pick 1 more boy and girl?

My son is Gabriel Joe (My husband is Rusty Joe) so he has his middle and the first name we both loved.

2nd son will be Isaiah Rusty (only fair since we already used the middle)

The cuteness of it to me is my grandmother has always acted like she can't pronounce Gabriel so she calls him "Little Joe". So since my kids come out looking just like a clone to their daddy I think "Little Rusty" is very fitting!

Angelina Lucia Dawn if I used my 2 favorite girl names plus my middle. I am Amanda Dawn. Not sure if I like

Angelina Lucia or Angelina Dawn? I pronounce Lucia as Lu-cee-ah? I need to go ask a question about that! Great question BTW!!!

If I had to chose I would name them this.

Girl: Julia Karlee Kimberly -insert last name here- (I know it doesn't sound great, the two middle names I mean, but one is meanful and the other is one that I want to name one of my daughters).

Boy: Gabriel Shamus -insert last name here- (The middle name is the name of my first dog that meant the world to me. Or the last name might end up being Meunic after my current puppy that I love to death).

This is a very realistic problem! I have no idea what I'm going to do for a girl. For a boy, I'm not so fussed, I like classic boy names, with family middle names. But for a girl!!!!!

So I have a baby tomorrow, my only girl...I call her:

Umm....Umm....Oh, this is hard, I'm staring at my name list...

    Phoebe Jessica Elizabeth Blair __________

    Mraw. No, that's silly!!

    It's too hard.

    My partner can choose!
