lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals
are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.
Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self-insure!!
Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill: THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Page 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill: YOUR HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED!!!
Page 42 of HC Bill: The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC benefits for you. You have no choice!
Page 50 Section 152 in HC bill: HC will be provided to ALL non-US citizens, illegal or otherwise.
Page 58 HC Bill: Govt will have real-time access to individuals' finances & a 'National ID Health card'
will be issued! (Papers please!)
Page 59 HC Bill lines 21-24: Govt will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer.
(Time for more cash and carry)
Page 65 Sec 164: Is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in unions & community organizations: (ACORN).
Page 84 Sec 203 HC bill: Govt mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the 'Exchange.'

Moore film gives idea of health care in Canada
To Elinor Petuskey, Your Views July 23. I believe you need to do your own research and not actually believe as fact every distorted, manipulated circumstance and edited interview in Michael Moore's film.
He admits the film is not a documentary, which would make it factual. If Moore should be believed, he would have produced a documentary but then he would not make as much money as this non-factual propaganda film.
I have personal experiences with the health care in Canada and have a hundred stories about family and friends' experiences that would sway anyone in a different direction than what you believe universal health care really is providing. It is not the answer.
Canadians sometimes wait for months for any appointment to see a primary doctor and then many more months for a specialist. If you want to complain about the service, you are only talking with the government. Good luck. If surgery is required, they can

It's not a bill anymore chief. It's a law.
I can't go through your garbage line by line. You call everything you don't like "socialism." Most of what you're citing is regulation that will benefit both the taxpayer and the patient. As just an example, the REASON Sec. 1151 is included is to discourage hospitals from prematurely discharging patients who need ongoing care, because it costs more money. This provides a financial incentive to do something that hospitals don't currently do.
Or take page 317 line 17. That is under a section titled "i) REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY FOR RURAL PROVIDER AND HOSPITAL OWNERSHIP EXCEPTIONS TO SELF-REFERRAL PROHIBITION." It's a specific list of ownership criteria that will allow rural hospitals to get around the ban on self-dealing, which is basically a form of double-charging when a large hospital does it.
You don't know what socialism is. You should probably stop using that word. You can't quote a SINGLE LINE from a complex piece of legislation and expect it to mean anything. Except these aren't your quotes - you have cut and pasted them from a right-wing know-nothing web forum. Someone ignorant of the law or else dishonest has told you what to think, and you said, "Yes, sir!"

This is obviously a bunch of bull with no links to the actual LAW. Get over it. As more and more Americans realize what the new health law does for them, it's approval rating is going up. And as more and more people realize Republicans have nothing but fear! fear! fear! and old, failed Bush policies to offer, they'll vote for Dems.
