Both are excellent albums but I think As I Am beats Element of Freedom by a smidge. Especially since As I Am did better on the charts.

Element of Freedom for me. I just think it is a more emotional release. The only thing its missing is a funky track like Teenage Love Affair.

As I am - element of freedom i was highly disapointed. I liked one song on there. I have loved all her albums, but this new one- she has been smoking too much weed with Swizz beats.

i think as i am is a better album..ELEMENTS OF FREEDOM..THE ONLY SONG I LIKE ONE THERE IS OF COURSE UNTHINKABLE, LOVE IS BLIND,distance in time(it aint the best track, and the one with beyonce on it.

As I Am, the production on that album is C-R-A-Z-Y, and i think it just had better songs
