Random orange hairs in my dark beard?

I'm 17, and I've got a pretty decent beard when I let it grow out. My hair is nearly black, and my facial hair is also black. But for some reason on the side of my chin I've got about 6 or 7 orange hairs. I'm not worried about it or anything, but it's kinda weird since both my parents have dark hair. Anyone know why this could be happening?

If you're getting older, that might be a sign of graying. As the melanin production in your scalp decreases as you age, your hair can fade from a dark color, to a red or orange before it goes gray.

Exposure to sunlight bleaches the hair. I have golden and orange hairs mixed in with the black ones on my face today right before I shaved.
