My son broke my sliding glass door in y apartment. I know management will replace it, but will they charge me and how much might I have to end up coming out of pocket

Get them to look at it and give you a firm price. Don't let them "bully" into having them do it. I am assuming that one of the glass panels is cracked/broken. If it is the movable slider panel, then you can try and find the Mfg/replacement and just do it yourself. Remove the old panel by moving it to the center of the frame and grab the handle and lift straight up and pull the bottom of the panel towards you. If it won't come out by doing this, you may need to stick a phillips head screwdriver into the adjustment hole in the edge of the door and lower the roller wheels. (counterclockwise) then lift again. If it is the stationary side of the door unit, I would have someone else mess with it as it is a little more complicated. The movable portion can also be taken out and brought to a window/glazing company for a replacement panel. Call one first and see if you can bring it in. Contractor/management cost maybe $350 + You take it to a window comany----maybe $ 150 rough guess

I'd be looking to fix/replace it myself, seeing management run the apartments as a business and won't fix it at cost, they will want to profit on you misfortune.
