Are you in the Air Force, if so how long have you been in and how often have you been re stationed?

to a different location? I am joining the Air Force, my leave date for Basic is Dec. 28. My job is water and fuel systems maintenance. Will my job require that I am moved around a lot? I have heard that Airmen are often sent to different bases throughout their enlistment, but I was just wondering if my job would require this

Hubby has been in for 24 years, and we've been at 7 bases during that time, which is pretty average. Besides stateside locations, we've been blessed to spend almost 9 years in Europe!

Every job has the potential to be moved around from base to base, it's the nature of the military. You go where the AF needs you, not where you want to be.

I know enlisted folks that have moved every 3 years, and I know others who stayed at the same base for 15 years. You just never know when it's going to be your time to move. And honestly, most folks enjoy the moving around. Change of leadership, change of scenery, new adventures, etc.

I'm getting closer to eighty years old every day. I am a Air Force expert, you can say. I've been with them ever since my brother kicked me out of my parents house at the age of 18. You will travel a lot. They can station you anywhere around the world. I was in Japan for 4 years, it was amazing.

i'm a SF member, and my viewpoint of it is that it is probable the finest. till you desire to take a seat down your *** at the back of a table all day it is as much as. What i like approximately being protection forces is your risk of having stationed remote places is intense because of the fact permit's settle for it, all of us needs protection forces. in case you desire to get deployed to diverse places and be a piece of the combat connect protection forces because of the fact maximum probable you will installation interior of 6 months, and you're making stable money remote places. specific human beings say we are in a gate all day or a patrol motor vehicle all day. I say the comparable ingredient to them. like all different interest you do the comparable ingredient rather for it is being at the back of a table all day or engaged on a plane all day. as quickly as we are there they hate us and while they want us they love us. in case you desire to be a police officer afterwards transforming into a member of protection forces will help considering you pass away with a CCAF in criminal Justice and paintings on your criminal Justice occupation from there. maximum SF's have delight in what they do because of the fact we are between those that paintings the toughest. Maintainer's do too lol.

My husband has been in almost a year. Currently he is stationed at Hickam afb in Hawaii and we'll be here at least 3 years since he is married. Our single airman friends who arrived at the same time have 2 years at this base.

Currently in the AF and I've been in 3 years. Usually you will be stationed with a squadron of planes and you will follow them around. If they get restationed across the country, you will be moved across the county. Welcome to the Air Force! You made a great decision in branches to choose.
