Do the current size of the stadiums, liveliness of the bat and ball change the game of baseball? Does it favor the hitter, fielder, pitchers, etc...?

If Barry Bonds is included, then Alex Rodriguez will no doubt pass him. I can't wait to see it happen!!!! I hope it happens at Yankee Stadium too.

In terms of consistency, If he can average 30 homeruns over the next 10 years, he'll be close. It's tough though. 10 years of consistency within the ages of 30-40. Alex is tailing off as we speak. In my opinion, it's possible. But I don't see him hitting 40 homeruns by 38.

Maybe in some peoples eyes, but not mine. He is a steroid user lying piece of you know what.
I may be in the minority but he and the remainder of Roid users, should have all their so called records
taken away. A-Rod as I have said before only confessed because he was caught and then gave a carefully scripted interview giving all kinds of excuses. There is no real way to find out when these steroid users started and ended, so I would expunge all their records.

Well let's see. He needs 163 homers. Say he gets 8 the ret of this year. That leaves 155. So he would need to average 31 homers for five more years or just under 30 homers for six years. I think that's quite possible...

His contract runs for 8 more years and PayRod doesn't seem like a guy to leave any money on the table. Even if he tapers off like a few suggested he can average 20 homeruns per season.

I don't think he will beat barry bonds, but if he does, he cheated, they will just take away his record. The stadiums will change the game based on how big it is. The bat doesn't change anything, they have always been the same. Same with the ball. Nowadays, people can't get away with taking steroids, this year, no one is taking growth hormones, making the pitchers so dominate.

As far as I'm concerned, Hank Aaron holds the HR record. I don't think A Rod will because injuries are slowing him down. He'd have to average 31 homers for 5 years to tie Aaron. I don't recognize Barry Bond's numbers because of HGH/Roid use or anyone else who obviously used during their careers, including Alex. They chose to break the rules so any career totals should have an asterick next to their names in the record books to implicate them as steroid users. His better days are behind him.

To Brian- Bonds cheated too, A-Rod was just man enough to admit it!
Yes he will become the all time home run leader, and it wont be taken away. Do you know how many stats would have to be revised if you were going to exclude people who did steroids? If you take one thing away for steroids you would have to take them all away, and they wouldn't do that

Yes. Alex Rodriguez is a large man not because of steroids, he is big naturally. So if he still feels good he will do it. There will always be skeptics and those who think his admission of roids helped him. He did not need them.

I think he will taper off. The roids are not gonna Keep him healthy since he stopped taking and I see a major injury coming. Just saying
