Do pebbles contain quartz?...?

Take a look at the pebble in the picture... It's just normal sand from the ground. I didn't mine anywhere for it... Can anyone tell me if it has Quartz or silica in it?... If you could tell me it's composition , it would be very helpful... 10 points for the best!!...

If this is an actual pebble, it is possible that it is quartz. If you have trouble scratching it with a knife it is more than likely to be quartz, although it appears to have been rolled around in the water from its appearance in the photo.

It looks like a jelly bean. No one can tell you what it is made of.
