My 3yr old son has a fever...?

Last night it was 104.4 He got children's Motrin and tylenol. This morning he had a 102.4 fever and taking meds that is keeping it down. He seems in a good mood. We are supposed to go out of town for 2 days but wondering if we should go. We have tried to call his Dr. but can't get a hold of him. I suspect a bacterial infection because he had one about a month ago but couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was.

my daughter is three year's old. and has had an ongoing fever since yesterday. her was 102 so i took her to urgent care. because a child at 3 is very young to have a fever so close to 103 which can be dangerous. first off what i always do is wait the first day if i notice the fever comes back within the second day and it isnt breaking. it obviously isnt going away. i really think u should take ur son to the dr soon as possible because when a fever doesnt break within two days its very possible he may have an ear infection. throat infection. when i took my daughter today to urgent care they told me she had an ear infection and throat infection. so if ur son has that hes going to need antibiotic's to kill the infection which is causing his fever. some fevers break. its fine to wait to see if they break when the child is older. but ur son is very young. i have a 7 year old and a 3 year old. so i been through it all my son has asthma. take u baby in and i hope he feels better. dont go on vacation until he gets seen. so u all can have a good time.

you rather do no longer could provide a infant medicine to convey down the fever until eventually that is above 102. you mustn't wake him if he's slumbering. only sense him, you may tell if he's burning up. he's not shivering anymore? Vomiting is a situation if it maintains, and that they might't shop something down. it rather is nerve racking, yet a temp is physically powerful because of the fact that is scuffling with despite he's have been given. that's no longer possibly a intense temp, and he hasn't had it for extremely long. some human beings will paintings by using it in 24 or 40 8 hours. If his temp continues to be up you will possibly be able to provide him a sponge bath, I placed a compress at the back of my teenagers necks, yet once you provide him a sponge bath, do no longer use chilly water - use heat. i'm particular each little thing would be nice, yet I do know the way aggravating it could make you! I actually have a 21, 14, 6 and four 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous. Oh my goodness, Please do no longer enable human beings scare you.... and inform you to hurry to the er now. remember in case you call your well being practitioner back ask him "whilst do you talk it an emergency?" that way if he says .... if his temp reaches 10? and you will know once you attain that milestone to take him in.

If you suspect a bacterial infection, then you HAVE to get him antibiotics as you know the body can't fight a bac infection on its own. If he is really sick , then no, of course you shouldn't go.

yeah sorry, only thing we're gonna tell you to do is take him to the hospital and get a more competent doctor. Especially if he couldn't figure out what kind of bacterial infection it was...
