Can the Playstation 3 practically connect to any wirless network around your area?

yeah, if your neighbors right next to you, or maybe 2 houses down from you have wireless network connection. when you scan it, the ones that are under 50% usually are unreliable and will always DC even if you do get access to it. but most likely your neighbors will have a password to it and you can't use it unless you know it. if you are lucky they might not have a password.

Well if he doesnt have internet, then no you wont be able to, unless he has a neighbor in close proximity who has not locked their wireless network.

What KittyofDeath said is actually completely false. You just have to connect to a wireless network which you have the password for and is near enough that you get reception from it.

Yea if there are other networks nearby. And some require a password and some don't. If they require a password it will say secured network and if id doesn't have a password it will say unsecured network. And I bet some of your dads neighbors would be nice enough to give you a password and let you play on their network.

basically yes it can as long as the network in unsecure if it is all you do is hit easy on your psn network setting and you are good to go but if its secure then you will need the wep key which is under the router so hope this helps

yes but you would have to find out the wep key or something similar to actually access any over network

it cant connect to any wireless network. i don't have one, but from what i've heard, it can only connect to one.
