Going to Mysore India...how should I dress?
I've been told not to wear shorts because of both weather and culture reasons. What would be appropriate for me to wear? Since I'm staying for over a month, I don't want to wear anything too offensive or out there.

Knee length shorts are okay. Sleeve-less blouses can be carried too. You can also wear sarongs, sports trousers etc. according to your liking and climate.

You can wear as you want like mini, shorts etc.
but avoid to go after wearing these thinks to religious places.

hey u can wear shorts with stockings.Mysore is a place of palaces,its a good tour spot for foreigners.

I don't believe that............you can wear shorts.Only some old brat(hypocrites)would murmur within himself but wont stop looking/piercing at you.
Source(s): I stayed there for a while........I found girls wearing shorts,smoking and even hugging each other in public place which is absolutely normal.
