Noisy and Hot at church?

I just moved to a new city and at this church the children are all noisy and screaming all the time, the parents don't seem to care. The pastor tried to talk to the congregation about this but they don't seem to listen, because the congregation is also very noisy during the sermon. Plus the church is also very-very hot, the ac don't seem to work. Please help, what should i do? This is the only church here, so i can't move to another church.

Just pray in private. You don't have to go to a church building to worship God.

Don't go? Seriously, can you only worship your god at a church is not your god everywhere.

Also try setting up a toy corner or room for young children, with games and get people to take turn in looking after them.

I mean kids are supposed to be part of the church worship so of course they are going to be noisy.

Also if the church is hot, can they leave a door open and open windows, bring in fans etc?

try working to solve the problems.

Also start a bible study or fellowship at your home or in the park.

    Or do not go.

offer to pay the electic bill. Know that Children are a gift from God and that their parents are relieved to share their suffering with their fellow Christians. help the guy with more than three or four kids by slipping him an envelope with three or four fitty dollar bills in it.

Your acts will make you holier than any sermon you can't hear.

The children should be in Sunday school classes while the sermon is going on. Recommend this to your pastor and maybe that will eliminate the noise problem. Also, perhaps a portion of the tithe could go towards fixing the air conditioning.

A "city" with only one church? Can't help feeling our collective leg is being pulled here...

Just suck it up. You're not there very long. Try to get there closer to the beginning, so you can choose not to sit near a family.

STAY HOME and enjoy your Sundays! You can sit in the peace and quiet, air-conditioned home. That's what I do on Sundays!

    stop going to church...duh

  • I dunno, maybe you can switch over to a home bible group and invite any of the others that are sick of it.
