This A Question for (Other) Girls that Hit Puberty Early?

I read this Yahoo! article about how years ago it was reported that girls began puberty as young as 11 and now girls as young as 7 or 8 are starting...

I'm 17 now and I began puberty at 11... After reading that article, the past is really on my mind. It was quoted that adults and peers would treat physically developed girls like adults, even if they're not psychologically or socially developed...

I think that's what happened to me. The very first time I got my period when I was 11, the first thing my mother said when I told I was bleeding from my private was "*grunt* You're not even 12." (she just woke up and is always cranky when she wakes up) Anyway, I never told anyone I got my period but of course I was developing breasts so random guys who were much older than me began asking me to do "dirty things" with them and such and it scared me so much I became androphobic and stop leaving my house, outside of school... I was very depressed and I didn't want to do anything. It hurt and scared me how everyone would point out things about my body out of nowhere and treated me differently from the other girls, especially the nasty boys from my class. And even my own father began treating me differently. He once said when I was leaning over his shoulder to see what he was doing on the computer "Get your boobie off my arm, puppy-girl" and when I fought my older brother once he backed me into a corner, looked me up and down and said "Flat-chest" but I was 12 at the time....

Anyway... I felt so alone and empty back then...

For all you other girls that began puberty early, what was it like for you?

That sounds like something everyone goes though, regardless of how old they are when it starts. Try not to worry about it, it really sounds like you went through things similar to what most people go through, boys don't necessarily have it any easier, they get teased for things too.
