  • Am I immature or paranoid for being creeped out by this man?

Hello, everyone. Lately, a man who lives in my neighborhood has been making me uncomfortable. I do not even know his name and all I've ever done was greet him back whenever we happened to stand on the bus stop together but one day, he began calling me "his baby" and hugging me and touching my hand. I've tried to telling him that I do not know him so I don't feel comfortable with him acting so chummy with me but he only responds by saying that he wants to be my boyfriend. I told him that I'm 22, don't know him, and would never be interested in him because he told me that he's 50 and loves younger women. I don't know how to handle this situation with this man who's older than my actual father. He just can't seem to catch a hint that I'm disturbed that he's interested in me when he doesn't know me and he's that much older. Am I just being immature or paranoid or is he as creepy as I think he is?

  • How to solve these Chemistry problems?

You don't have to give the answers if you don't want to.. But if you could explain how to arrive to them, please do!!

    1) A gas sample contains 16.0 g of CH4, 16.0 g of O2, 16.0 g of SO2, and 33.0 g of CO2. What is the total number of moles of gas in the sample?

    2) How many formula units of sodium chloride are in 146 grams of sodium chloride?

    3) Sulfur dioxide is reacted with excess oxygen in a contained chamber. The reaction is:

    2SO2 (g) + O2 (g) → 2SO3 (g)

How much oxygen (as the element) is consumed if 14.6450 g of sulfur trioxide gas is produced?

    4) Given the following unbalanced reaction:

    H2CO3(aq) + CaCl2(aq) + MgCl2(aq) → CaMg(CO3)2(s) + HCl(aq)

    Which reagent is limiting if 10.00 g of H2CO3, 10.00 g CaCl2, and 10.00 g of

    MgCl2 are reacted?

  • Can anyone recommend a good, kiddy game for Wii or PS2?

I'm thinking about buying my little sister (who's 7 years old) a new game for her Wii or PS2.

Does anyone know of any good games for children her age?

(She already owns Coraline, Strawberry ShortCake, and a billion Dora games)

  • Veterinarians, what what was/is it like for you?

Hi. I'm a high school senior and I'm going to be off to college soon. My top dream career is being a veterinarian. But I'm not sure what I kind I want to be yet. I'm participating in a Veterinary Mentoring Program and they've told about so many different types of vets.

So I'm wondering for you vets out there (I hope I get some answers too)

    1) What kind of vet are you?

    2) What was schooling/training like before you came a vet?

    3) How is practicing in your field?

  • Am I weird for being a teenager with high morals?

    Okay... I'm a 17 year old girl.

And basically a lot of the peers that I meet live in a totally different world than I do.

I don't really mind because I accept them for who they are, but most of them think I'm weird, uptight, and think I put myself on a pedestal, which I do not. I know I am far from perfect, and I never try to change people or tell them they're wrong.

But anyway, most of peers think it's okay to do things like: curse out or beat on their parents, have more than one girl/boyfriend (and have sex with them) at one time, etc. But I think it's wrong...

Am I weird? Sometimes I feel out of place.

People say I'm too conservative, but I feel that these days rebelliousness IS the new conservative.

  • Is Halloween worshiping the devil?

I have 2 friends who don't Trick-or-Treat because they think Halloween is celebrating the Devil and worshiping Him.

But I'm a solid Catholic Christian and I don't believe that is the case.

Can someone give me the truth about Halloween so I can tell my friends? I've always wanted to go out with them on Halloween because I thought it would be fun, but they're afraid to D:

  • Atheists, do you believe in an afterlife?

Okay, being an atheist means having no religious beliefs, right? (Forgive my crude definition in a nutshell)

Anyway, but do you believe there is an afterlife? Or do you think after you die, that it is all over for you?

I was just wondering because I can not imagine no existing anymore, or thinking anymore. (But no, I'm Catholic) I'm just wondering what your opinions and beliefs are?

  • Are Tarot Cards evil?

A friend of mine thinks that Tarot cards are evil, or like witchcraft or something.

But I thought Tarot cards were just a fortune-telling game or something.

Someone please let me know if using Tarot Cards is evil/bad or not because I bought a deck along time ago and a lot of my classmates got into them and we were using them for fun. And I thought they were cool because a lot of my classmates actually said they worked and the cards knew about problems in their lives. But my best friend didn't want to because she said it's evil and we'll go to hell for it.

  • A Question For Guys: What Is On Your Mind When Thinking of Asking A Girl Out?

    So two questions actually:

    1) What is on your mind when thinking of approaching a girl (a stranger) and asking her out?

    2) What is on your mind when you're actually DATING a girl?

I'm only asking because apparently it's okay for guys in their 20's, 30's, + to date girls age 17 and below... or for whatever state you live in, under-aged girls in general.

I'm not saying all guys do it, but a lot of them do and it disgust. All of my friends have or at one point in time, had a boyfriend age 20+ when we're only teens. And I'm definitely not going for the "It's only dating so it's OK" or "Well if she LOOKS this age... blah blah bullshit" The whole "only dating" excuse is overused, it's for people who don't want to face morality issues. And guys that old are MEN while these girls are GIRLS, even if they're supposed to be "only dating", eventually in most scenarios, the issue of sex is going to pop up.

I'm only asking because I am tired of older guys approaching me and asking me out or for sex... What happened to morality? Decency?

So even if you're not the type to ask out under-aged girls, tell me what's on your mind when dating a girl or asking one out?

  • This A Question for (Other) Girls that Hit Puberty Early?

I read this Yahoo! article about how years ago it was reported that girls began puberty as young as 11 and now girls as young as 7 or 8 are starting...

I'm 17 now and I began puberty at 11... After reading that article, the past is really on my mind. It was quoted that adults and peers would treat physically developed girls like adults, even if they're not psychologically or socially developed...

I think that's what happened to me. The very first time I got my period when I was 11, the first thing my mother said when I told I was bleeding from my private was "*grunt* You're not even 12." (she just woke up and is always cranky when she wakes up) Anyway, I never told anyone I got my period but of course I was developing breasts so random guys who were much older than me began asking me to do "dirty things" with them and such and it scared me so much I became androphobic and stop leaving my house, outside of school... I was very depressed and I didn't want to do anything. It hurt and scared me how everyone would point out things about my body out of nowhere and treated me differently from the other girls, especially the nasty boys from my class. And even my own father began treating me differently. He once said when I was leaning over his shoulder to see what he was doing on the computer "Get your boobie off my arm, puppy-girl" and when I fought my older brother once he backed me into a corner, looked me up and down and said "Flat-chest" but I was 12 at the time....

Anyway... I felt so alone and empty back then...

For all you other girls that began puberty early, what was it like for you?

  • My hair is breaking in the back, but still growing? I'm confused help!?

I've been trying to go out my hair for months now!

And while I've seen good progress with my hair growing longer, at the same time, it's breaking off shorter in the back!

I bought a perm for when I go back to school, but now my mom and I are unsure whether to put it in or not... We don't want more to break off in the back.

    1) How is my hair growing longer, but breaking off at the same time?

    2) Is it okay to put the perm in?

    3) If not, would it be okay to braid most of my hair into a ponytail and then just flatiron the part of the hair IN the ponytail? <-- I've worn that style before but I hope you understand what I mean

  • What Are Cats that Are Okay for People w/ Cat Allergies?

Hello. I love cats. They're one of my favorite animals and I've always wanted one, but years ago, I discovered I have cat allergies.

Recently I found out about Siberian cats, that have low levels of the protein in cat saliva that humans are allergic to.

Are there any more cats like the Siberian cat that are pretty safe for people who are allergic?

  • Is This Rumored Way for Lactose Intolerant People to Quickly Lose Weight True?

People at my school has been spreading around rumors about a quick way for people to lose weight. Here is what they say:

If you're extremely lactose intolerant and you drink at least two cups of milk a day to make yourself release really big bowel movements every day, you'll be able to lose at least 9 pounds a week.

    Is that true?

I'm asking out curiosity because I didn't know you could lose weight by passing your bowels and it sounds pretty nasty and silly because if someone's lactose intolerant, drinking a lot of milk would mess up their stomach, right?

  • What Are Some Life Style Changes Can I Make to Lose Weight?

(Sorry for the long description, you can skip to the questions if you want)

I'm a 17 year old girl and I'm overweight. I'm between 5'4" and 5'5" and last time I checked I was 160lb. I want to get rid of the weight and become in-shape, or at least, thin. I have a stomach but I'm able to suck it in all day long, but I'm tired of doing that, I want my stomach to REALLY be flat.

So, for starters, for a 17y-old female that's between 5'4" and 5'5", what is the proper weight? (Oh I forgot to mention, that I'm pretty busty so does that also account into my weight?)

I want to make some changes in my life so that I become thinner and in-shape because I want to be healthier before I become so old that losing weight becomes way too hard.

    So here are my questions:

    1) What are food are good for losing weight?

    2) Are there any drinks that are good for losing weight besides water?

    3) How much water should I drink a day?

    4) What should I do if I go over the 2000 calorie limit?

    5) About how long should it take for me to get down to my proper weight?

    6) What are some exercises I can do daily to help but won't take up too much time? (I'm too busy to sit in front of a TV, stretching)

    Please help

  • Do I have a mouth disease? Please help?

    Hi I'm a 16 going 17 year old girl with a problem.

There is a small invisible bump or swollen area in my mouth above the last tooth at the back of my mouth.

It is not painful at all, in fact, it's actually kind of numb and when I looked inside my mouth, I could not even see it!

I doubt that it's an STD because I've never had sex, kissed anyone, or even shared drinks... or... I'm confused. I've been putting ice on it and it seems to going away too

Please help, diagnosis and home remedy appreciated.

  • How can I get closer to him without arousing suspicion?

Here's the deal, I'm 16 years old and I really like this guy (my classmate) for 3 years now.

By the luck of the draw, I'm now sitting right behind him in my history class. I really want to take advantage of our new seating arrangements to get closer to him (since we do a lot of partner work in that).

But unfortunately, 2 of my best friends sit directly across from us. (The desks are arranged in columns and rows.) And they know how I feel about my crush but since I'm shy but easily excitable, they like teasing me in front of him so I can never work up the nerve to talk to him in front of them because I get too embarassed that they're watching.

So how do you guys think I can closer with my crush without my friends misinterpreting anything I say or do...? And I guess I'll also ask how can I tell or test that my crush likes me too? I guess that would be another good question
