    The official Churches stance is they have no opinion. They do not engage in false doctrines.

    The Catholic Lay response is that the Rapture is false.

    You want to be left behind, here is why.

    St. Paul tells us that "those who are alive and who are left"

    ~~~~1Thess 4:16 Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air, and so shall we be always with the Lord.
    Jesus tells us when he returns it will be like the Days of Noah and the Days of Lot.
    Who was alive and left after the great flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Noah and his family and lot and his family. The rest were wiped out for their sins.
    ~~~~Luke 17:26 And as it came to pass in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat and drink, they married wives, and were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it came to pass, in the days of Lot: they did eat and drink, they bought and sold, they planted and built. 29 And in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.

    ~~~~Matthew 24:37
    And as in the days of Noe, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
    Jesus tells us:
    ~~~~Matthew 24:13 "But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

    Peace be with you

    I don't know what the Roman Catholic view is, but the Rapture is something that the Scriptures may not say in that use of the word, but the proper wording would be 'caught up' to heaven. The books of the Thessalonians give more information on it. I do not want to be left behind, because when that happens the ones who didn't believe in God will then be deluded to believe in the devil, and his evil plans for the world, will be under God's judgment at that time frame. Though there will be a time of when the Angels of God will be doing the sorting of the sheep from the goats, and the ones who are the 'goats' will be destroyed, and the sheep will be brought to heaven, another way to put it is this, the tares, and the wheat, will be separated by the Angels of God, and the tares will be burned up, and the wheat will be saved . So which do you want ?

    First off they don't believe or obey the Scriptures that are in the 66 books of the Bible. Secondly their teachings are in total opposition of what Christ teachings are. So what they think or teach is totally irrelevant in regards too anything in the Bible. Thirdly During the 7 yr. Great Tribulation time, after 3 1/2 yrs have past the Pope will be the false prophet that will point to the Anti-Christ and tell everyone that he is the Christ and too take his mark of 666 and to worship Him !

    I don't think that the is really a difference in how either church views this revelation.

    I just think there are some ministers who underestimate the inscrutability of what is

    given in these passages. The Catholic Church tends to understate things that we do not fully

    comprehend, and to me, that seems wise.

  • The rapture is just as much false doctrine as praying to Mary and baptizing babies.
