stomach problems, no answers?
Since I had my third child in october I have been having some problems with my stomach.. here are my symptoms.
sulfur belching (burps that give a horrible rotten egg smell)
horrible upper stomach pain that lasts a few hours, sometimes up too 12 hours
sulfur vomiting ( vomiting that has a horrible rotten egg smell)
lower stomach cramps and spasms
diarrhea
fatigue
all this is in order, from beginning to end, after the vomiting and diarrhea is done, i feel like im in heaven, i have such a sence of relief, but VERY tired after, very weak feeling.
This usually happends after i eat certain foods, but theres always a new food that starts the pain up again.
I've had a barium swallow done and everything was fine other than slow spasms of the duodenal, but that isnt where the worst pain is.
Ive been prescribed prevacid and librax(only when needed, which ive started taking before every meal)
i intend on asking my gp for a referal to a gastroenterologist because this is ridiculous now, i want to live normally.
I know this is food related but there must be a reason why im getting these symptoms.. something somewhere must be wrong.
has anyone experienced this, have you had a diagnosis?

Try a food elimination diet to help you determine what is causing the problem. It could be lactose intolerance or a gluten issue, among others.. The University of Wisconsin has a PDF that explains it. Linked below

Mine is a bit similar to yours minus the whole diarrhea part.... sometimes i would get the worst lower stomach cramps and pains i would be dying listerally.... sometimes i would also throw up. not all the time though. If it helps I also have acid reflux. I'm sorry i cant be of much help but I tried. Al I can really say is that I've been forced to live with ti unfortunately. The worst part is that you really have to watch what you eat and how you eat it (dont eat food too fast)

I've had this for my whole life. What i have found out is it might be Irritable bowel syndrome, but i'm not sure. What helps me is eating health and exercising at least twice a week (it really helps). When I'm feeling sick though, I usually smoke a ton of marijuana, (it makes me fell a hundred times better) I know it's "wrong" but I promise you will feel so much better.
Source(s): my symptoms are the exact same: Sulfur belching, stomach pain and feeling better after throwing up. It also usually happens at night. - ?Lv 71 decade ago
No, I have not had these symptoms, and I wouldn't try to diagnose your condition on YA; but, seriously, you need more than a barium swallow to determine what is the cause of these symptoms. I would strongly recommend that you do get that referral to see the gastroenterologist.

I've never experienced this, but I found a page where many people share those exact symptoms. Link below.
