Have you noticed the rise in the number of speed detection camera vans in the West Midlands?
Over the past few days I've seen many where previously there were few. I understand that (according to the News) the Static Cameras have been turned off in Birmingham (UK to our American Friends that may have got lost). Perhaps the Fine money is going directly to the local Police rather than the Exchequer; and this is seen as good business.
Thanks Phil, I didn't know I had a sooped up Citroen C3. You really have made my day pr@
Thanks for the smug and trite answer Tracey; I merely asked a question, sorry to have disturbed your high moral emminence.

I drove on an A road that goes from Stoke to Stone and passed over 5 cameras, all pretty well hidden behind bushes, trees and signs; you could easily lose your license driving along that one road. The fact that the locals tailgate out of spite even if you are at the speed limit and passing a camera makes it very hard to obey traffic laws but the police do nothing about tailgaters, why put effort into removing unsafe drivers when you can catch a driver slowing from a 60 to a 30 and get £60 for nothing.

I used to see the camera van on the A5 regularly, likewise at various points through the country, but I have not seen them in a long time now. Perhaps they are all over with you in Brum!

As most of you up there seem to drive around in your souped up (?) Corsa's like you are in "Police, Camera, Action" that is the only area of the country where the cameras will make shed loads of money.

Why worry about the cameras, if you do not break the law, there is no worry.
