Senior Citizens, Are you happy that football season is finally back?
As a Senior Citizen, it is obvious that I dont play any more but I am really happy to see the season back. I even watched a preseason game that was tape delayed of the Raiders-Cowboys.
Tus to all replies so far.

Yes, I enjoy watching football ... college and the pro's. I was born and raised in New Jersey so I was cursed (you know what I mean if you follow Philly sports) by growing up with the Philadelphia sports teams. The Eagles are my favorite. I even buy the Direct TV NFL package so I can watch them throughout the season. I live in Missouri now so I wouldn't see many of their games. This may be my last year though if they don't win. How much disappointment can one person take?

That's great that signs of Spring are beginning to "spring" up all over the country. We have had temperatures in the 50's here in the Northeast, and that's been quite a change from the bitter cold. A little sunshine thrown in too. Tonight though I understand we are going back down to around 3 degrees. We have had 3 days of nice weather that has offered a hopeful glimpse that Spring IS coming. The most promising of all is that I am seeing maple syrup lines and buckets slowly going up around the area. Unfortunately in my neck of the woods the snow is still very high and I really can't move around my yard and the critters are hungry. A Barred owl last week was sitting by my bird bench and all my little birds were hiding. . But no more snow for now, so I am happy! I have been putting "Think Spring" on all my cards that I've recently sent. So I join with you in your thinking that Spring is on the way!

As a 50 year Cleveland Browns fan;this will be another fall/winter of suffering. And I will not get on the Atlanta Falcons bandwagon.Domed stadiums in the south do not constitute real football arenas.
I will go out of my way to see my Kentucky Wildcats play.College football is much more exciting and has a longer tradition.Go Big Blue!!!!

I enjoy football in the bleachers (only because it is fall and cool usually) and the fact that I had to go when I was in high school because of cheer-leading with my girlfriend. Once I was yelling, "pass the ball," and my husband said, "he can't pass the ball...he is past the line of scrimmage." Oh, well, it interrupts everything on TV for me. I went to an N.C. State College football game once at the invitation of a boy I attended high school with. I got a corsage, but did not enjoy the game.

Yes, but probably for all the wrong reasons. Autumn is just around the corner, cooler weather, decorating the house, doing a lot of baking for the upcoming holidays....and I actually will watch an NFL game too, however my heart belongs to Baseball.

No the tv news will be dominated by stories now, either of the local high school/university teams or the trouble that they get into every year or the problems and stories of the fans at the games.

I was born in Colorado so I'm a Bronco fan. I am looking forward to football. I've got my jerseys and my blue cowboy hat and I'm ready to hoot and holler.
My mother was a 5'0, blue eyed, blond dynamo who would wear her orange to the Raider games in Oakland when we lived there. She was so funny, I was always amazed that she'd even have the Raider fans laughing and chatting with her.

My living in the Soccer World, it never ends, or it seems that way. I at times can pick up a game or two of American football, only to find out that it is months old.

love watching football. Even though we have family all over the nation, I know who roots for what team and it is a way of being together. Fun.
