What were the signs you had before you went into labor?

I was just wondering what are the signs you had before you went into labor? And how long did they start before labor and how long did they last?

God bless everyone and thanks for your answers!!!! :)

back pain, discharging, cramping, and braxton hicks that were very close together, hopefully this isnt tmi, but my girl parts felt swollen lol....the doctors had to break my water however so i didn't go thru that...i personally felt them for 2 days before i went into labor, and they lasted until i was induced on the 3rd day... then that is when i felt the hard heavy contractions 11 hrs after being induced

The only sign I had was losing my mucus plug 3 days prior. And this isn't always an indication that labor is imminent, because some women lose it weeks in advance, others don't recall losing it at all. Other than that, there was nothing. No contractions, no nesting instinct, nothing. I was just speaking to my dad about how frustrated I was that I didn't seem to be progressing and my fears of needing to be induced...then contractions started at 4:00 a.m. the next day and my daughter was born at 10:31 a.m. LOL So everything happened very suddenly for me!

with my first child i my contractions start 25 hours b4 i had him but they were never any patterns to them i went to 20 mins apart to 15mins back to 20 then then they were like 5 mins apart and i was getting ready to go to hospital when they would go back to being 20 mins apart. so my sign was when my water broke and i got to the hospital and not even an hour later my son was born. and with my twins i was induced. but every person is different and will go into labor differently. but my adv would be if you are close to the hospital and you have had no complications are have to worry about your baby being in breech position then wait at home as long as possible and dont get induced unless you have too. for my son i waited til the last minute to go to the hospital i was pacing the floor and resting my arms on a counter top and moving my hips in circular motion this helps bring the baby into the birth canal. then when my water broke i went to the hospital and he was born shortly after. everyone always tell you that the first is the hardest but for me it was the easiest. but when you are induced in some hospitals and most hospitals will not allow you to walk around and move. when they induced me then wouldnt let me stand up i was only allowed on my back and somewhat on my left side. i was in 26 hours of labor for my first child and then for my twins since i was induced i was in total labor for about 10 hours. i hope this helps you and good luck. children and amazing. and labor is not all that bad it is the best pain you can ever go through

With each one of my kids when I thought I was in labor I never was! I finally realized I was when my water broke with my first two, sat up in bed and then it broke. With my third child I barely made it to the hospital because I was up there 3 times prior thinking I was in labor and I was dilated to a 6 and 90% effaced but no regular pattern so they sent me back home till they became regular or my water broke and if it wasn't for my husband I may have not have made it because they were so bad, but they had been it was so strange they never really developed a real time pattern like they tell you they would. They were random but each one was more painful and they were coming closer. My hubby had to basically "tell" me we are going to hospital, by the time I got there in tears, they kept me! Had him 2 hours later.

The first time I used to be already in hard work for approximately three hours and with my moment my water broke sending me into hard work and I did not have the bloody exhibit till I used to be on the hosptial abotu two hours later! Good good fortune to you!
