So I am looking for scholorships for college, and Im a 25 year old white male. The list that was handed to me by my Financial Advisor has alot of different sites and scholorships, so I have some options, but what upsets me is that There seems to be a scholorship for women, african americans, native americans, certain religions, hispanic americans, and certain majors, well the fact that these exist does not bother me, im not a racist or anything and im glad that these exist, but why not one for white men? It just seems that there is a specific scholor

Because white is not a minority its the majority so they dont need one. They just do it to be politically correct or the minorities hit the roof.

That is because that list is for scholarships that are provided from third parties, either memorial funds, or from foundations (sometimes companies as well). Scholarships for women (because of the long history of inequality) come from foundations that support women in their goals. Because white men are always at the top, there are no foundations around to assist them that would be providing scholarship funding. This is the same with minorities, organizations that support the interests and needs of Black students sometimes do this by offering scholarships.
This is just the face of third-party scholarships, so you need to look at where the money comes from in order to understand who it goes to. A lot of woman's scholarships are from the state of a woman who has dies and gives money to women at that school. But these make up the majority of awards, not the majority of money, meaning that there are a lot of these and they are offered to a lot of people while at the same time not offering very much.
The real money comes from institutional scholarships, which are merit based. So look into school-wide scholarships are departmental ones as well. But you are too late for this year, they open in October and close in February and March for the upcoming Fall, only a few stragglers are left. Scholarships for majors come out of the budget of their department, and often are memorial funds as well from a dead alumni. Again, institutional scholarships that come from the school itself are merit based, go for those.

Honestly its because White men have had the advantage in the county since before it was a country so that what it is coming from they are I guess trying to level the playing field. I know it not fair there are not as many for white women as there are for different races either. Its just one of the things that happens Life is not fair

That is a fare point you're making. Its basically to do with what is considered a majority/minority. You are part of a majority in your country as you are white and maie. Apart from women the other things you mentioned are a minority (not sure about religion) in your country. Women are not a minority as people but are considered a minority in positions of power and the coorporate industry.

My cousin who was an excellent student and hispanic said she applied for so many scholarships and they have you write essays and follow terms and after she was never offered one. She said it is a waste of time. She has her bachelor's now but she did not get any scholarships and she said she really tried and tried to no avail.
Many colleges have their own grants they offer, call your financial aid office. My daughter's advisor just told my daughter that she found a grant for her from the college for an additional 2000, wow, so I would try that too.

The vast majority of scholarships have nothing to do with race or sex. Your school is probably just trying to be PC.
