80'S AUSTRALIAN MUSIC---WHICH ONES ARE YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITES?
I'm drowning on a sea of nostalgia. Am just barely into my teens then but I remember the times as probably the happiest, most carefree days of my life. And the 80's produced a lot of AWESOME songs that blasted the music airwaves...ever! This was the time of the true spirit of MTV. For more than a decade, it was like a shooting star, an explosion of some of the most awesome pop music ever. Now they're still with us, but what you get to hear mostly are today's music...well, naturally. BUT Today's music mostly sucks!
HERE'S A SAMPLING OF SOME SELECTIONS: You can give as many examples as you want, with or without music links. All I ask is you list the title and the performing band (and maybe the year of release?..maybe?). Naturally, 10 points for the best anthology.

I'm a big fan of Men at Work, Crowded House (New Zealand, right?), The Church, and I also like Midnight Oil. I saw them in concert at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis along with Hunters and Collecters. Good show.

AC/DC, INXS, Midnight Oil all have a lot of good music. "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls is good, so is "Down Under" by Men At Work.
