can I install a dual-core cpu into a single core laptop ? (AMD)?

my HP dv6216us laptop has an AMD Turion 64 single core CPU. Can I replace it with a dual- core Turion ?

    No

    Turion 64 single core uses Socket 754 .

    The Turion dual core socket is Socket S1 or Socket S1G3.

    They are not cross compatible.
