any programs to use besides adobe photoshop?

Would like to do a comedy type pictuer (you know posting someone else's head on a funny pic). It's all in good humor but never done this before. Heard adobe photoshop has this ability but never used it. Is this a good program or others to recommend? Also any advice on using this program for the first time? Don't need to master it just doing this one funny picture and will print that to go on a flier for a friend.

Paint.Net is free, and really good at it's job. I use it all the time, personally I think it's better than PhotoShop for "simpler" stuff. Did I mention it's free?

surely attempt Picasa from Google. It helps common internet sharing and has extremely common to apply equipment, plus it is incredibly cool in visual charm. I often use it for speedy fixes and enhancing over my Photoshop, which I reserve for photograph paintings initiatives and definitely focused corrections.
