Why are men so absorbed in their bodily functions ?

Because they never grow up. I remember as a girl growing up with 2 brothers I would hear their bodily noises and say "ewww gross" and laugh my head off.

Now with a husband and 2 boys doing the same thing - I don't thinks it's funny anymore even though they think it's hilarious.

Maybe if not done in public, I should loosen up and chuckle.

It's just that most men aren't embarrassed by natural body functions. Most men also love to figure out how things work and play with variations on that function. He's probably doing it to get a reaction from you. That's his fun. If you stop reacting and noticing, he won't get any payback and he'll stop being so obnoxious with his body functions.

It just comes with the territory. Dudes think it's funny. I would be SO turned off if I was party to a couple of girls having a farting contest. Is it fair? Noooo...but it is what it is.

My wife would more than likely sympathize...!!

Well...those things ARE funny....lol. Sorry. I think you're just being a little too 'stiff'. You don't have to join in but it wouldn't hurt you to find some humor.
