"Scott Eric" sounds pretty good, especially when it's pronounced with a specific articulation of which I am particularly fond.

Clearly the majority prefers "Eric Scott." That's not surprising. "Scott Eric" isn't for everyone. I believe only a small minority of people have the intellect, wit, and humor to appreciate, embrace and enjoy "Scott Eric." While the masses will pursue what appears to be the more linguistically pleasing "Eric Scott," they may discover that it's just because they don't have a clue how to use their tongue. Those who choose the road less traveled are likely to discover a much richer overall experience.

Eric Scott, never heard of the name Eric being used for a last name unless it's like Scott Erickson

I think Scott Eric goes better although i would keep Scott and drop Eric but that is my opinion and not yours.

I personally like Eric Scott better, but 1) because I like the name Eric more in general and 2) because it flows with my surname. Scott Eric doesn't sound as nice, but I guess it depends on what surname they're being paired with :-)

  • Eric Scott it fits better.

Two syllables followed by one always sounds better to me. Eric Scott.
