What do conservatives think about the GOP?

I am not a conservative, but I agree America is destroyed and it was GOP policies that are to blame.

They were partially responsible for the economy. They should have shut down Fanny and Freddy when they were in control. Fanny and Freddy held more of the bad paper than any other banking institution and were the biggest source of the mortgage backed securities but they did nothing and the democrats have done nothing but loan them billions more that we have to borrow and exempt them from the financial reform bill. By the way who allowed these deadly securities to be sold? Bill Clinton signed the paper that made it legal. I do not believe the republican who were in the house and senate during Bush's first term were actually conservative they allowed such bad policies to continued. When they had the power too stop it. I no longer call myself a republican because the party became Democrat lights making government bigger the democrats are making it even bigger. So a question for you. Republicans during Bush made government bigger and grew the deficit and did nothing to reign in Fanny and Freddy to the detriment of our nation. How then is even more government, more deficit spending, and still no restrictions on Fanny and Freddy making the nation better under the democrats?

They will keep supporting people like Bush and McCain instead of Ron Paul, no matter how much they slam the GOP on here.
