Does anyone else think that big corporations should NOT be moving jobs overseas?
AND, do you think that if they were NOT doing that, would we still be in this recession?? If big corporations would stop outsourcing jobs overseas to countries like India, the jobless rate wouldn't be at 10%. You can't expect economic recovery to fall squarely on the shoulders of the president when so many companies having been getting away with doing that for decades. In truth, the reason why this recession has gone on for as long as it has is because these corporations are STILL doing this now, even though we can no longer afford this behavior. Call Dell support and who do you talk to?? Some guy or girl in India. I just recently saw a show about India. Did you know that their economy is currently booming because of all the jobs being given them by US companies?? It's ridiculous! Meanwhile our employment rate is at 10% and this recession just goes on and on. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to fix all this crap. Easy! Don't allow companies that are based here in this country and under the protection of our flag to move jobs overseas! These companies base themselves here in this country because it's a benefit for them to do so. Well, I for one say that if they are based here, then they damn well should HIRE here. Hiring people in other countries is a slap in the face. It's un-American, and it should be illegal, especially now. What do you think??

Absolutely - our country should be fining or taxing all companies that move our jobs overseas. They are preventing the economy from getting back on track. Frequently the "customer service" is so bad and so poor in the english language that they can not be understood. ITs a bad policy and bad for Americans. It will get worse until congress gets it thru their thick heads that our jobs need to stay here not go overseas!! Another bug is letting overseas goods come into our country tarriff free - to change this look at lables and only buy American

Yes I believe they should of stayed here in the USA, and yes that why re are in recession, they went over to Mexico and other countries because of the taxes and Health Ins reasons, So I believe if they bring them back we all would have our jobs back and more jobs openings. Thaty is one reason I don't know why these Mexicans are coming over here when there is nothing here, they have most of our jobs in Mexico and why can't they go back home. But they are here for the free ride.
And I wish that Obama would do something about it too, to help us get these companies back over here and back on track.

Corporations move jobs overseas in part to save taxes etc. but also to remain competitive. Payroll expense contribute to the need to price their products much higher than imports. Unions are partially responsible for this with unrealistic contracts and retirement plans. It is impossible for a USA manufacturer to make products to compete with overseas and eventually they will go out of business putting many workers out of a job. The talk of a global market is fact and I don't know how we will counter it.
